In several States, any and all curriculum must be approved by a board that consists of teachers, parents, and various school boards. I wonder if Florida has this rule? A lot of districts are using this as an excuse to ‘screen’ the live speech.

I grew up in Broward and left there 10 years ago...so glad we got our daughters out before they were damaged by the idiotic Broward school system.

Our system here in North Central FL has given the decision making on whether to view this speech to the individual principals.

Most refuse to show it live - many will show it tape delayed and absolutely will allow students to opt out.

We've been in school now for 2 weeks and this speech interferes with lunchtimes, etc.
