He seems to be a bit more straight forward about the indoctrination of the little ones, K-6. Here is something from their lesson plan PDF that stood out for me:

Why is it important that we listen to the President and other elected officials, like the mayor, senators, members of Congress, or the governor? Why is what they say important?

Mommy and Daddy, why aren’t you listening to President Obama when he says that the Healthcare reform in Congress is a good thing? You should listen and not question him. He loves us and wants what’s best for us. I’m going to report you to my school./s

I’m so glad I homeschooled and I’m done. There is absolutely no way I would ever send a child to the govt indoctrination centers today. This is definitely Invasion of the Children’s Minds Snatchers time.

‘No mention, of course, of what the president could do for the citizens of this country. “

Or what the actual role of a president is, or at least what was intended.

There’s been a real shift in the mentality of the people about politicians. They seem to forget that they are our representatives, not our overlords.

I remember being "forced" to watch the Carter inauguration in school. I am glad I did, it sparked my interest in politics, even in fifth grade. (we wheeled enormous 25" tvs into the classroom to watch it)

I however am so glad we home school, my kids will most likely not see this speech. (my oldest might, she is a political junky) If they do it will be with competent supervision. My children know who Obama is, and ask me the most incredible questions. I am so happy that I am the one they ask, I can't imagine what kind of BS answers they would get in government indoc camps. We get some great discussions in the evenings.

Yes, I want my children to grow good Conservatives. More importantly I want them to grow up and be able to educated decisions on why the vote the way they do. Not just because "Daddy said to vote this way". I see that all to often in my job, I now people that voted for Kerry because her dad said too. I have people in my shop now that didn't even like Obama, but voted for him only because he is Black.

I can't wait for the first Home schooled President.
