Amen, Fewz.

During and after Viet Nam, it never occurred to me to take to the streets. Since then I have vowed to never again let our troops come home without knowing that they are appreciated.

It was an honor being able to thank several military men last week.

Awwww another beautiful graphic of lovely berries!

I must share with you all, I have a dear neighbor friend in her late 80’s who recently lost her hubby. I have set her up on the internet and showed her how to email. I email her every morning, noon and night....and guess what!!!! I share with her many many of your beautiful graphics. She comments every day on the “ lovely photos “ that I send... little does she know! LOL

“I think that we should have done this during the Vietnam War. I have always felt bad that we didn’t fight the socialist in this country at that time. I guess better late than never.”

We should have, I came home to a world that wasn’t the one I’d left, and in a way, I never really came home.

Now every day I see where an American soldier has died, and right beside that sad information, I read how the left is arrogantly trying to make the sacrifice of those brave Americans mean nothing!

We have a President who lies to us, we have a Congress that lies to us, and we seem to take it in stride, (hoping for some change in an election yet to come.)

We need to march on DC, we need to speak out so loud and so long, they hear us, hear us holding the political to their crimes, and recall a few. If we do that, many of them will begin to pay attention to our rage. If we don’t, we make a mockery of the dead heroes as we give away what they fought for! Every Freeper ought to be pushing to recall the liars today, and save this country before they make it a socialist hell hole before an election that may never come to a once free people!

Thanks, Meg.

California is bankrupt and the environazis continue to make it impossible for businesses (this includes farmers) to survive in California. The state continues to raise taxes and the Feds are in the pocket of the environmentalists.

I got out in '60 so I didn't have to put up with the crap that came later. But, guys like me and the vets from WWII and Korea should have made sure that you guys didn't get any pinko crap either.

I came home from Nam in ‘68 and had older WW2 and Korea Vets tell me ‘we’ (the soldiers and sailors of Nam) ‘Lost’ the war. I told him we had won the war, but politicians, (bending to the public pressure of protestors), changed the rules in a game without rules, and it killed a lot of good kids!
I told him that instead of bitching at us, he and his ilk ought to have been there seeing that those same politician had stayed out of the war and let the military control the war like they did in ‘their’ war. they could see what was happening and they let their own sons and grandsons die while they sat on their fat backsides and complained about our performance! They knew what we were facing, and they did nothing to see that we got the support we needed!

Then we came home to a nation that hated us, wouldn’t hire us, and shut us out. I’ve had a few folks say thanks for my service, but none who said I was wrong to make you a pariah in your own country. After 40 years, one can still feel that way, just try to deal with the VA!

Sorry for the rant, old wounds do not necessarily heal.

Your country thanks you for your service.

I’m sorry that I was too much of a kid to stand up for you. My youngest brother served during the VietNam war.

We did not know how to protest the protesters at that time.

How pretty that dog is, Meg! Great picture among the flowers. This is almost identical to my sheltie (the first one whose name was Dolly), except my sheltie was small! My second one was black with white trim and a touch of sable, her name was Cagney!

This was the Orthopedist that I visited today and he did set me up with appointments for more injections. We both are hoping the next one will help. He said today that all my trouble was in the lower back where the one vertebrae is slanted downward. Its very hard for me to believe but who am I?

Maybe we all should start eating more tuna! I like it so it wouldn’t be hard for me to have tuna salad or just plain tuna with a dab of mayonaise!

So glad she is eating, Polly!
