Good evening.

Go Cheney! The former Vice-President strikes back at the Obama Justice Dept.'s attack on CIA investigation techniques. Cheney, unlike the Holder's Justice, values our safety & a strong national defense.

Thousands of California homes and families are in the path of devastating fires. And so we pray for their safety and that of the firefighters.

The Healthcare Town Forum I went to Wednesday was attended by 2800 (mostly, if not all) from Brevard County, Florida.

When key topics like public option, tort reform or abortion was brought up, the crowd roared!!...

It really seemed like the majority of those in the auditorium (there were 800 in an overflow room!) were in one accord, knew their facts and knew why they were there.

My problem with the whole 2 hours is the local congressman didn't give enough time to the people...

He loaded the stage with 10 'authorities' on health care....and each had 5 minutes or longer to introduce themselves and tell what they would ask the congressman to take back to DC when he returns next week.

Well, some-but not all- of it was interesting or informative....

..but then the congressman had to get his talking points in & show his slides (he's Republican)

..but 2800 people sat, mostly politely and respectfully, for over 1-1/2 hours!! listening to other people talk....

..and only had 20 minutes to get their questions answered....

..and even so, they had to submit their questions and didn't get to ask them personally!!!!

This upsets me at so many levels...

..this venue was in a performing arts auditorium.....concerts, plays, etc play year round.

They had the sound equipment to easily make accessible microphones to those folks....

..but once again--just like at the AARP forum 2 weeks ago here--- the people were not given a voice!

People arrived excited and talkative and enthusiastically pledged allegiance to the flag of the US..

...there were 9/12 project folks there, other patriotic organizations and lots and lots and lots of senior citizens....but young families too.

..who were not allowed to speak.

People left, like myself, feeling tired and unfulfilled.

Honestly, I think only 10 questions were read :(

Rangel seriously needs to sit down and shut up.

For all the no-trouble he has been in for his tax evasion and non-reporting, the dems in the NJ area have the GALL to run these anti-Chris Christie ads on TV complainging about how Christie loaned a former employee over 46K and never reported it...clearly a do as i say not as i do party of peversion.

I have a book for you.....Merle’s Door - I’ve enjoyed it so much and learned a lot about dogs.

Short summary: Merle is a dog found by the writer in who was on a hiking trip. He and Merle adopted one another, and the writer of the book (who is a writer by trade) went on to detail out the dog’s life with him, and also sites many studies of dogs. I think it’s the best dog book I’ve read. Ted Kerosote is the writer/author.

I was somewhat put off by it early on because so many of Ted’s resources seem to be evolutionists, but quickly learned to spit out what I didn’t like and savor what is good.

And there is SO much good.

Good crowd.

Why does it take so long to answer a question? Because they don't know what they are talking about and they try to spin, IMO.

Thanks for the report, Guennie.

It is my opinion that too many of the Republicans in Congress are soft men who don't have the stomacah for a fight.

What we need is GOP guys with a warrior mentality, veterans who have been shot at and aren't afraid of the media or the democrats hollering "racism."

We are never going to prevail if we have representatives who compromise, worry about what the Washington Post says, and believe that we want "bi-partisanship."

The democrats couldn't even muster bi-partisanship to support the war. I am not inclined to allow them to use bi-partisanship to sneak through their Marxist ideas.

Nope. I want warriors. I want guys who won't give up, who will holler and shout, who will tell the people what's going on.

And while I am on my rant, I want the GOP out on every talk show LOUDLY objecting to how they have been shut out of the legislative process, and that they have good ideas and show what they are!

Warriors. I want warriors!

If Charlie can cry racism, I can too.

How come James Traficante was/is in prison, Charlie? Racism?

The crimes committed may be different, but a crime is a crime.

I swear if O was trying to pass a telephone communication reform bill, he'd sign legislation about using 2 tin cans strung together just so he could say he got his way.

Coming soon to your neighborhoods corner soon. LOL

The GOP members are alway so ‘nice’, don’t want to make waves, time for them to get a backbone and get with the program.
