Good evening.

Go Cheney! The former Vice-President strikes back at the Obama Justice Dept.'s attack on CIA investigation techniques. Cheney, unlike the Holder's Justice, values our safety & a strong national defense.

Thousands of California homes and families are in the path of devastating fires. And so we pray for their safety and that of the firefighters.

I do not believe that God is fond of ‘arrogance’, first sign that libs are wrong!

Good morning everybody. Yesterday we went and helped Mr. Prairie’s cousin re-populate bobwhite quail in the area. We put 125 day-old quail chicks in a brooder way out in the middle of nowhere where they will stay for 5 weeks and then be turned out into the wild. To avoid imprinting they stay in the brooder and won’t see a human during all that time.

The brooder supplies all their food and water needs for that time. It has a propane heater that provides warmth, water and food in it.

Cousin has done this before with success and we saw some larger quail that he most likely had re-populated while we were out getting the chicks settled. These older ones flushed just like normal wild quail. He was proud of them, heh!

A severe blizzard 2 years ago was very hard on all the wild bird population here, quail (2 varieties) and pheasant. Hence, his efforts to re-populate them. Besides, he likes to hunt them with his dogs when they get big enough.

(Facebook friends, I posted pix of this)

Morning!

What do frogs drink for refreshment?

Croak-a-cola! ROTFLOL

I'm writing lessons for SES classes and that is one of the "ticklers" offered by the writers of the resource materials I am using. Couldn't resist sharing it with you all.

Well for heaven's sake, I seem to be sick again. Or maybe I never got over it the first time. Fever-y, achy, sore throat-y, upset tummy.

I've cancelled myself out of the two rehearsals I was supposed to play for today.

This is very odd; I never get sick in the summertime. But right now I feel horrible.

Ev's birthday is coming up (9/16); I will have to get a package out by the end of the week in order for it to get there in time. Thinking maybe by Thursday I'll feel well enough to take care of that.

I went & watched the Packers practice again yesterday, then had a very nice lunch at the stadium with my older son & my best friend. By the time I got home I was already feeling tired and a bit dizzy, and by bedtime I knew I was in trouble.:(

Prayers to all who need them. Youse guys are never far from my thoughts even if I don't always post a lot.

GOOD MORNING (here still)! Oh the storms keep coming, some light, some like gonna blow us away, look at is we do, makes the grass grow.

Politics! At the bottom of the pit, we sink like a brick and no rest in site. We are in just some REAL bad ‘stuff’.

Disappointed again today, maybe tomorrow ‘he’ will be back on the air but them again, I had his success I would take off too.

Just want to say hi, wish you a good, safe day and, a happy one.

I was in bed, sound asleep. I’m here now. Logged on even before I had shaken the zombie effect off. I’m only half-way through my morning diet coke.

The doc used to date your daughter? Hmmmm. I wonder if it is now pay back time. LOL! I’m sorry about your knee. Until you get to the doc be sure to RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) it.

The longer I live, and the more I see and hear, I am convinced that liberalism is a symptom of an underlying psychological problem.

I remember about the sister from years ago, Guenevere. I know how frustrating it is, believe me!
