“I never said they lied but then they do claim Sun Yat Sen was born there. They haven’t disclosed the entire truth. There are major questions about precisely where on the island he was born since one can’t be born in two hospitals at the same time, if the parents were married, if there was an attending physician/midwife or if the birth witnessed outside the family, if it was a delayed registration, if a whole lot of other things. The bc is just the tip of the iceberg. The bc is the starting point. The bc is just one of dozens of cards in his very shaky house of cards. When he brings out the long form and shows his original passports and opens his college records and gives a reason for the dozens of social security numbers, and etc., I’ll admit you were right all along but right now things smell very fishy.”

***

Unfortunately, the law is not on the side of those who want more information about him. And I would not believe Orly’s claims about social security numbers — or anything, really. She collects things on the Internet that are meaningless. I agree that he’s brought all this suspicion on himself by doing what he has done, but I think it’s really a long shot to think that Hawaii would knowingly participate in a fraud. To me, it’s just not reasonable to think that.

Then you should stop making such assertions.

"You’ve done a pretty good job here of arguing your points, and it seems to me that you’ve argued your points on the merits alone, but I can’t help but be curious as to your political perspective (conservative, liberal, pro-Obama, anti-Obama etc.). After spending a fair amount of time looking into this, I have come to the same conclusion as you, I think Obama really is a natural born citizen of the United States, and that efforts to challenge him on his citizenship will be fruitless. I think the energy of those who oppose him could be channeled more effectively by challenging him on his ideas and policies. That’s the approach I favor anyway." *** I'm a conservative, conservative Republican. Glad to hear you've reached the same conclusion. From the looks of this thread, quite a few others have, too. I agree with you on the rest, too. It's a good thing that most Republicans and other conservatives ARE fighting on those many other fronts. Meaningless response since you don’t quote what you’re responding to.

I back up my assertions with the law. I don’t just make assertions.

That is wholly incorrect. The class of person you are referring to are naturalized at birth, they are not natural-born citizens.

Hope this helps.

No. You're the one that's wrong. Here's what title 8, which clarifies the 14th amendment has to say about naturalization vs natural born.

No act of law “made” me a citizen — from the moment of my birth I *was* a citizen. . . See http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/8/1401.html .

Lolz.

FAIL.

Congress has the power to pass laws concerning naturalization. If you have to point to to Title 8 to prove your citizenship; you're naturalized.

Hope this helps.

"Citizen at birth = Natural born citizen"

You can repeat that mantra a million times but it doesn't help your arguement.

Not really, the 14th amendment is the law, title 8 just *clarifies* it. "born or naturalized" is the key word.

The BC stuff I can understand, the idiocy about his father is just silly.

Unfortunately, the law is not on the side of those who want more information about him.

Except that per the Constitution he needs to prove he is eligible which he's blocking at every turn. Orly is about the only one trying to do something though she's clueless and that cluelessness isn't helping. Keyes and the others are more level headed. As for her social security number claims, most I put down as someone with a similar name however, there are some with links back to him which is troubling.

There's far too much he's locked down tight. There's far too many unsavory characters he's been associated with throughout the years and who today are being placed in high government positions. There are the guys in da hood who's relationships he's lied about. There's his and Michelle's admitted hatered of the white race and America. There's the Marxist way he's destroying this country. Red flags keep popping up every day. Something is very wrong with this guy. It's not that I don't agree with the Dems or that I didn't vote for the "black" guy or that I enjoy a bad picture of Hillary. We lived through Carter. We lived through the Clintons. I'm not so sure if America has a future with Hussein. Flat out, there is something very, very wrong with BHO himself.

So with your logic, an illegal alien 9 months pregnant can slip across the border into El Paso, have a baby, head back into Mexico and (assuming that baby can later prove 14 years US residency) that baby would then be eligible for POTUS in 35 years ??? I GUARANTEE you that scenario does NOT fit in with the original intent of the Founding Fathers. I’ll bet you’re still wringing your hands over the 2000 election too... *** That is the law today, yes.

I completely disagree, for Title 8 does NOT define Natural Born, and if as you say "that is the law today" then Title 8 is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Next question, do we really want to go there? And if you despise Hussein as you say, why are you defending an Usurper?

"There is no U.S. law that requires the parents of citizens at birth to be citizens."

Yes...there is. It's called the Constitution of the United States of America.

The 14th Amendment did not amend Article II. Hope this helps.

PS. I concur, your ignorant idiocy concerning patrilineal natural citizenship is silly.

The word "natural" does not appear anywhere in the code section you cited. It sets the parameters for citizenship, but certainly does not impart NBC status to these citizens.

“Because his mother’s citizenship, plus his birth within the United States conferred upon him citizenship at birth, therefore making him a natural-born citizen as opposed to one who was naturalized after birth.”

~~~~~~
VERY wrong.
From Obama’s own site:
“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.
Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”
And you might have a look around this site.
If one or both of your parents owed allegiance at the time of your birth, you are not a natural born citizen. If you were born in the United States you would be a NATIVE BORN citizen, but that fact alone does not make you a natural born citizen.
Other nations citizenship statues have NOTHING to do if one is a U.S. citizen at birth or not.
Yes indeed, you are very wrong.
Please cite the relevant portion of the U.S. Constitution that requires that the parents of citizens at birth to be themselves citizens.
I will wait.
