BTW, it’s appalling that she would stand up in front of people and use a term like “retarded” as a way of disparaging others. The left does it all the time, and obama made the same kind of statement on national TV. So much for “sensitivity” and “compassion.”

Actually, what has been a great outcome of the Obama presidency so far is the neutering of the term racist. It has been used as a bludgeon for so long by the Democrats and they have now applied to just about 60% of the population and people are beginning to understand how much crap most of it really is. The danger is that when it is real it will be ignored.
