Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]
Get well soon, saveliberty!
:) I love Monk.
Thank you, MaggieCarta! I am going to try to do a little more today and we will see where it takes me.
Great to hear from you, especially when its good news. Your health is in my prayers every day and night. Good sleep and a strong spirit can beat the worst of ills.
Been busy as the proverbial bee; sending my book to the publisher today and will celebrate later this evening!
I went to a townhall meeting with one of the “good” M.C.’s (members of Congress), it was interesting but not very entertaining; there were no crazed liberals. As it was a farm/ranch community, the citizens there understood work ethic. Gee......think about that for a minute.
I just found out that Michelle Malkin lives around here. She will be doing a book-signing soon, but it appears to be a couple of days after I leave for CA; bummer. I would love to meet her.
Have a wonderful Friday; keep smiling and know that we are cheering and praying for you!
Thank you so much for “taking us there!” Prayers continue...
Well, the good news far outweighs the bad news, and that’s good news! : )
Hope you have a great day and another great night. That helps the body and the spirit.
Thank you, Loud Mime!
Woo hoo on the celebration! :)
Thank you, Alamo-Girl!
:) Now if my parts could all get along, I would be in much better shape. LOL
The doctor’s office called to talk through the paperwork and they are thinking that for the tumor, the recovery time would be 6 weeks, but that surgery isn’t scheduled yet. I will see the doctor again on the 17th. And then they don’t know what will happen afterwards for the hemorrhaged area.

Drat
I don’t like to wait for things. I like them to be done and over with :(
:( Me either.
The scarier part is that they don’t know what happens after the tumor is removed. Will they need to operate again or not?
I am hoping not, but we just don’t know.
It sure would be nice not to have sensory issues on one side, though.
Foxy relays your messages over the back fence, so to speak, but hearing from YOU directly is pleasing.
I know how you feel about your meds, saveliberty. After a recent spinal steroid injection my meds were set at 3 times a day. I’m a tiger about that—it means every 8 hours on the minute! My husband laughs because I take my B/P med at 8:30 a.m. daily—that’s how I keep from forgetting it.
Anyway, one day I overslept and I was a basket case! Reading over the insert it said just not to go over 12 hours in between. (Now if I can just remember to take them in 34 minutes!! :) Have to keep this up for 3 months; been keeping track on a chart since the beginning. Can’t trust my rusty (sometimes)memory! (But if you ask me what I had for dinner in a certain restaurant 8 years ago...) :)
Prayers going up for saveliberty.
Thank you MaggieCarta! In reading your e-mail just remembered there’s a Monk-a-thon today. Don’t know when it started but it was on at 1:20 and will be on til about 10 p.m. I wanted to check out each one and tape the ones we missed. Right now it’s a commercial.
I think the funniest one was a few weeks ago when the UFO crowd turned up!
My husband calls me Mrs. Monk! (But not in all things). What’s so strange about lining up the tulips on the bed sheets? I’d never be able to sleep at night if they weren’t! :)
God bless and be with you, and keep you close within His providential care, so that all is done in a timely and successful manner, sl.
(((Hugs))) Thank you, Carolinamom!
LOL
Good that you have more flexibility, GoldwaterChick! I think that I like to take mine right on the minute as well. It just hasn’t turned out that way.
Now my start times are all goofed up. We started on the sixes and twelves, moved to the ones and sevens and are now on the threes and nines.
