"saveliberty" is Hospitalized (Update from saveliberty at #1568)
via saveliberty | Sunday 23 August, 2009 | FOXFANVOX

Posted on 08/22/2009 10:29:53 PM PDT by FOXFANVOX

Hi All,

I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:

"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."

It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.

In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.

saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]

Get well soon, saveliberty!

(((Hugs)) Thank you, Bahbah!

The phone just rang. Dad and I are up on the top floor (which we call the North Pole).

Dad answered, “Hello? Who is this speaking? No, I am sorry, we don’t know who you are.”

He was about to hang up when I stopped him.

“Who is it, Dad?”, I asked, thinking that it may have been for me.

“It’s your mother,” said Dad.

LOL

Turns out that it really was Roberta.

I will call her back

Whew! You clearly did the right thing. Body parts do not have to be falling off. LOL.

I had a trip to a medical facility some years ago with a cancer surgeon standing by. Turned out to be something much less awful.

But the thing I remember most was the warmed blanket they put over me in recovery. It was just so kind. And appreciated.

Good thinking, hoosiermama! I have been staying away from soy as much as possible and have been doing so for months.

Thanks for the tip about beef labeling. I am lucky that I can’t eat beef at this point yet, but it’s very good to know.

Whew! I am glad that it was something much less awful and that you had such good medical care.

The warmed blanket was very kind. What a great memory!

Oh, and then there was this. In the afternoon, back home on the couch in the family room and going in and out of the knock out stuff they had pumped into me, was the dream/halucination of beautiful Arabian horses stampeding through the room.

Are you taking vitamin D3? It’s made a big difference in “catching” the bug this winter for dad and I.

To: saveliberty; All

Good news. Thank you, SL for posting and saving me making a major error and scaring everyone. I have been otherwise occupied today, [not with a date like Dolly was 8)] and am now trying to catch up.

saveliberty was kind enuff to call me earlier and give me a quick summary. [I wish SL wouldn’t keep calling collect...kidding, she didn’t!] When we talked this morning, she didn’t sound so good to me. [I didn’t recognize the famous call-in voice of Tony’s radio show at first.] It caused me to worry a tad more than usual, but when she called this evening, I could tell just by the sound of her voice that things had gone well and she was feeling better.

Thanks to Bahbah for providing the Ping to everyone; and thanks to everyone who responded to her ping.

I will take a cursory run through tonight and hopefully be able to reply tomorrow. Although, to paraphrase Rush Limbaugh, “When saveliberty speaks, there is nothing left to say.”

(((Hugs))) saveliberty.

And goodnight, ALL

Just now checking in; thank you Bahbah. Glad you went straight to the ER, saveliberty. Praying for a speedy diagnosis and a return home soon.

I got a call from Carolinamom today. [It's OK if she calls collect because it is a local call!] She wanted Tarheel and I to let everyone know her keyboard went kaput and she is unable to post. However, she can/will lurk and read the posts of others. [So be nice!]

Therefore do not worry about her absence. She is feeling fine, but is simply on a hiatus from posting until she gets her replacement keyboard. [Which means I can post and not worry about having my grammar and spelling corrected!]
