Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]
Get well soon, saveliberty!

Foxy asked about a welcome back pic for you. I knew that I should have posted this pic before I left for church this morning! : )
We have been out all day, and leaving again for evening worship services in a few minutes; but, I wanted to stop by and say "Hi" and say how good it is to know that you are doing so well, and that you and your folks are back in your own beds again! ((((Hugs))))
(((((Roberta))))) Way to go!!! Ha.
I'm happy for you, and glad you are doing well.
You are in my prayers, and please keep us posted.
God Bless.
Welcome home, sweetie!
Heavenly Father, we come to you this day with praise and thanks in our hearts for your lovingkindness to our friend Win. Thank you Lord for watching over her and her family. Thank you for your presence in their lives and for giving them strength and comfort by your grace.
Please Lord, continue to watch over Win as she recovers from this surgery. Help her to become strong again Lord and help her adjust to the loss of hearing in one ear. We know you love us Lord and we thank you for giving us life, and hope and courage. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Happy, Happy New Year!! And Thank You for sharing your great news!!
This post, all 1,524 and still growing, has been, is, and will continue to inspire so many to be strong and to have Faith!
Pomaika’i na mea apau
And everything is blessed
Excellent! We could come over with a tree truck with the bucket and lift you up and down!
God Bless you my FRiend.
Hearing loos in one ear is a whole lot better than that tumor. Take care and we will continue Praying for your quick recovery.
Thanks for the “after-action” report! Your upbeat Snowflake attitude
and perserverence will help in your healing.
God bless you and give you a speedy recovery!
You are no doubt resting [I hope!] as I write this, but just wanted to make a comment before I drift off to join you in bed. [That would be separate beds for any family who might be reading this. In fact, separate states.]
We have all been with you from the diagnosis [who can forget that!] to the pre-op and then to the surgery. Aaaargh, the angst of the surgery. We were in need of some anesthesia ourselves. Now, we will be with you as you rehab.
It has been quite a journey. A journey bringing together friends and strangers from all over the country to offer support to you. You may well have felt the abundance of prayers that were offered for you. And we are very grateful that they were answered.
What a great way to begin a new decade!
Good nite, saveliberty.
And good night to all who have offer prayers, and posts, and images, and sometimes just good thoughts. All efforts were greatly appreciated.
Finally....some good news!!
I’m happy to hear all this, and relieved.
Thank you so much for letting us know how you’re doing! Prayers continue...
Beautiful post, Foxy, and so true.
You’ve shown with your words that the most beautiful of sentiments are expressed from loving hearts.
This thread is another example of why I love FR. There are good people here. : )
Can’t believe it’s been nearly 24 hours since I logged on here! Welcome home, saveliberty—what a lovely surprise to see you were home and posting yesterday. Miracles of modern medicine.
I wonder if the firemen would have done what we always called “firemen’s carry” back in ancient history. Two people grasping hands to form a seat. Pretty close hugging, seems to me! :)
Just take it easy for a while—be sure to follow your doctor’s directions. Bet it’s hard to believe the surgery is behind you at last after all that apprehension.
Save has quite a few steps in her house [which everyone was concerned about], but she seems to find them helpful in her rehab. Making lemonade from lemons, you might say.
In the hospital, saveliberty had a a good nurse and a bad nurse story. I'll let her share that later. It seems that one reason she wanted to go home early was the hospital food!
I have been sworn to secrecy so I cannot mention the handsome doctor and the “love child.” OOOPS
Also had an e-mail from saveliberty last night in which which she indicated she was having some sleep issues. The fact that it was mailed way after midnight confirmed that! The good result is she is now viewing napping as a good thing.
All in all, saveliberty sounded great and is well on her way to a good recovery. YEAAA!
So wonderful to see your post save!!! Have been out of the loop, but had to come back to send my love and prayers to you!! So happy that you are doing better....will continue with the prayers as well as the thoughts!! Have missed you my fellow Snowflake!! Take good care of yourself! We need you! who else can keep Fox in line!!?? (((((Win)))))
Thanks for the update, Fox!! Much appreciated!! Hopefully you and Save are both sleeping well (in separate beds in separate states as you like to point out!!)
Goodnight all!
Ping a ling! Thank you to FOXY, who posted this item:

I can’t post much as reading is still a challenge. My eyes are adjusting to the ointment that’s been applied to the right side. That and newly identified topical allergies contributed to a bad head day and a small panic attack when my nose ran (after the doctor’s office, of course! LOL). I changed clothes and the congestion dried up, so now I am calmer, but I will watch for further signs to report to my doctors.
The bandages have been removed, but the sutures stay in for another week. I had a hard time with the trip to the doctor’s office, though. My body is still too sore for bucket seats to be comfortable.
I napped much of the evening and night, so that is very good news. And I am tapering off the scary medicine. Yay!
Thank you so much for all of your prayers, kind words, pictures and support!
Cheers,
save
PS Every day will be better - Hooray!
