OK This is my first Vanity.
Does anyone else hear a little yippy yappy dog bark during Special Report with Brett Baier on Fox News? I have been hearing this dog for at least a week, I thought it was the neighbors dog. But today I recorded the program on my DVR, from Dish Network. There are several spots in the program where there is a single dog bark, it always sounds the same, like a recording. It happens at least once or twice each minute. I can rewind the recording and hear the bark in the same spot each time. Am I crazy or has anyone else been hearing this. Maybe Bretts lap dog is just waiting on his master.

One Michael Vick interview would take care of it.

That’s not a dog. It’s Brit Hume, still locked in the broom closet.

You’re not crazy. I hear it all of the time. It corresponds with the news crawler not the live content. It sometimes sounds like tires skidding. If you have hummingbirds you can hear a resemblance of the sound they make as well.

I have also heard it sometimes when they break in at the half-hour for their “headlines and updates’ thingees with the “info-babes”. I thought maybe they were bringing their dogs to work!

I guess that make sense since it is a recording. But the point is the bark is not coming from my location, it is coming from the feed I get from Dish Network.

No that was the song that ELO did back in the 70’s that said “the music is reversiable, turn back, turn back, turn back the time”

One of the first barks happened when Chris Hansen started to talk. He said If the government is directing a third party BARK to gather Please, someone else listen for this!!!

I noticed the same thing on the Glen Beck show when it first came on. In fact I would ask Mr G if he heard a dog.
I have finally decided that it is a sound effect that they use when they are putting up certain info to get you to look at the screen. Kind of like the “whoosh” sound they use for certain captions.
Personally, I find it very annoying.
