looks good so far...

Morgan Supersport Revealed as the Most Practical Morgan Yet

Morgan has revealed its newest flagship model, called the Supersport, which comes with interchangeable hard and soft tops—oh, and a trunk!

The Supersport rides on a reengineered version of Morgan's aluminum platform and houses a BMW-sourced straight-six under the hood.

The new model will be the quickest Morgan yet, with the company estimating a 3.9-second rip from zero to 62 mph. Morgan has revealed the Supersport, the British automaker's newest flagship and the replacement for the now-retired Plus Six. Unsurprisingly for a brand known for dragging its feet, the Supersport looks exactly how you'd expect a Morgan to look. Perhaps surprisingly, given that reputation, the Supersport receives several changes that make it more livable every day.

Nice looking car.

I’ve never been in a Morgan or ever known anyone who has/had one...always liked them though.

No wooden frame? No cross-eyed headlights? Are they sure it’s a Morgan?

Morgans are proof that the English landed gentry are still pining for the days of Downton Abbey. If the Morgan police learn you've been driving one of their cars not wearing a tweed driving cap and lambskin gloves, they'll erase your entire bloodline from Burke's Peerage, repossess your car, and sentence you to 20-to-life in a Morris Marina.

The Blogosphere is awash (...ahem...) with the news that Michael Shumacher can no longer speak.

German journalist Felix Gorner reported that Schumey "...can no longer express himself verbally."

Except that account is a bit suspect because after attending the wedding of Schumey & Corinna's daughter Gina-Maria this past October, Elisabetta Gregoraci (Flavio Briatore's ex-wife) stated, "Michael doesn’t speak, he communicates with his eyes."

And three years before that, son Mick Schumacher said, "I would give up everything just for that." (to talk racing with his father).

I don't mean to be critical of Corinna's personal decisions, and she's got more money that God so she'd going to do whatever she wants, but it seems to me she's only fueling public curiosity (and hence speculation) by being so secretive about Schumey's condition.

Michael was famous for saying "Private is private" but I think the millions of fans who idolized Schumey think they're owed better that what Corinna is offering on account of it was they who directly or indirectly made her so rich she can afford a fully staffed in-home private hospital for her stricken husband.

It might sting her pride but I think it would make he life easier long-term if she were just to tell the world exactly what his condition is. She's just fortunate Schumey's fortune was bigger than her ego.

F1 Oversteer cites an article (in Espanol) at Marca.com claiming more of Red Bull's Honda powerplant engineers will be jumping ship before Bahrain to go to Aston-Martin.

And next year Red Bull will be switching to Ford power.

The prospect of a WCC contender banking on a new-to-F1 powerplant vendor makes me suck wind through my teeth but if you're going to do it, doing it in the same season as the old engine formula gets thrown out wholesale would seem to be the ideal time.

Red Bull switching to Ford Power. With F1 engine rules like they are Ford won’t be able to do all any recalls on the new motor.

A couple of pages back, I posted links to an article in which F1 legend Jackie Ickx claimed that Ferrari had hired Hambone because he's ethnic.

Okay, okay, ... what he actually said was that the Scuderia hired him "for marketing reasons." Well I filtered that through my custom disgronification circuitry (based on the original Rush Limbaugh patent) with the anti-Belgian Political Correctness subroutine switched on, and it transliterated Ickx's "probably for marketing reasons" claim to "because he's black" in plain English.

Well, guess what?

Lewis Hamilton’s impact on Puma: Ferrari merchandise sales surge eightfold

How Lewis Hamilton's arrival at Ferrari has boosted Puma's Ferrari-branded merchandise

Not sunglasses. Not polo shirts. Sneakers. 8x.

Ickx (with an assist from El Rushbo) scores an A+ for sagacity.

While reading this it occurred to me what a BRILLIANT move Ferrari has made. Buying F1 championships is seriously expensive. Yet despite their best (-funded) efforts, the Scuderia hasn't won a WDC since 2007 or a WCC since '08.

But with Hambone as pitch-man for their sneakers, they're making bank, regardless how badly the drivers or the team come in the championships.

Genius!

Nascar?

NASCAR????

Whenever I’m stricken with the urge to watch someone drive in left-hand circles for three hours, I climb on my garden tractor and mow the lawn until the mood passes.
