This will be a general purpose thread for F1 news and pings that really don't require a thread of their own.
could very well be, but i’m sure they will be EXTRA careful with their new investment
No electrical discharge or irregularity of any kind occurred in the car's ERS system, either before, during or after the incident, the team claim in a statement. That last point refutes the erroneous rumours that have spread recently to the effect that Fernando was rendered unconscious by an electrical fault. That is simply not true. Our data clearly shows that he was downshifting while applying full brake pressure right up to the moment of the first impact something that clearly would not have been possible had he been unconscious at the time.
that Fred downshifted and applied full brake pressure during the accident, well high voltages can cause:
Extreme pain, respiratory arrest, severe muscular contractions. Individuals cannot let go!
The electrical injury patients treated at the Division of Trauma and Critical Care at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tenn., are mostly severe, high-voltage cases, meaning people who are unconscious and requiring intensive care unit-level treatment (Which Fred received)
Chronic pain is also a very common symptom and a complex problem for survivors of electrical contact. Immediately after the incident, intravenous narcotics (the sedation drug given to Fred?) may be administered in frequent, small doses.

Or because of Jules Bianchi's accident and Traumatic brain injury (TBI) did the medical group become cautious and follow procedures for a head injury where it may be necessary to keep the patient sedated with medications?
Lot's of questions and no answers available to the fans.....
Hope Fred has a fast and complete recovery.
Kubica might look like a corpse, bet he ain’t dead yet...

Holy Crap! Talk about local knowledge + keep your dogs, kids and livestock in on Sunday ;- )
I would love to see the break setup on that car
Then I remembered that the liability laws of Europe are nothing like the USA.
So in fact this is a great example of lack of regulation, laws, law suits, etc. and people tend to figure out a way to survive and prosper.
