This will be a general purpose thread for F1 news and pings that really don't require a thread of their own.
Perez moving to McLaren is a little surprising to me, but great news for him. We’ll see how he runs with a top-class car and team behind him.

"I have had three nice years with the team which unfortunately did not go as well as we all would have wanted on the sporting side. I wish Lewis well and for the team to achieve the success we worked so hard for in the build-up. I would like to thank the team for their trust and all the guys for their unconditional commitment. I will now concentrate on the next races. ~ MS
well I'll never buy one
I think Hamilton will be as disappointed with the cars as Michael clearly was ... Look for Ross to be gone soon or at least hit the ROAD - retired on active duty
.
Maybe they just want Nicole Scherzinger hanging out in their pit stall....
so it looks like auf wiedersehen to Michael
She is his McLaren girl friend, can’t wait for the Mercedes girl friend!
I haven’t read anything about his future plans, just that Hamilton is going to MB and Perez to McLaren, and Schumi is going to consider his future.

turn it up and enjoy
Fast car, great driving.
Wow, what a drive. A car with a real shifter, no paddles, no sequential, no traction control, just a damn good driver with a damn good car. A flat six “porch” stills sounds great just like it did in the 60’s. Porsche has truly kept the spirit of that car throughout the technical revolutions.
He is going by some of those cars like they are standing still. I know he is a very good driver, but surely he must have been in a pole-sitting car that got a penalty and put at the back of the pack for that kind of slicing and dicing.
Surprised it has a regular H-pattern shifter, I thought all those ALMS/Rolex cars had sequential shifters. Cool to see though.
