A very pretty “blue” Monday picture, yorkie. :)

Happy Monday, Billie.
I didn't use trinypic.com. :)
Thank you for today's wonderful Opening Graphic.
That poem will always be a favorite.
Hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to a beautiful week.
Thank you, Amy. I've always loved the poem, too, and to me, those trees "are" that poem!
I had a great weekend - a busy weekend, but great. I can't remember when I've done so much cooking and baking any time except at Christmas, though - want some cake? Which kind - chocolate or pumpkin? How about some cookies? Chocolate chip, peanut butter with kisses, cinnamon rollups...? :)
Jim is leaving for DC on Friday;
I've been wondering if I should send anything with him. LOL
I haven't asked him yet. He did offer to take my laptop.
I passed; I doubt that I will need it.
He will not get there until the evening of the 11th.
I can use one in the lobby to check emails.
Have a Magnificent Monday!
Well....just so long as you can check in! :)
Have a great week, Amy. Know you will be busy this week - as though you aren't always busy though!

Thank you, yorkie - nature can be so beautiful, as your trees can testify!

What time is dessert? I’ll be there! (OMG, those look SO good!)

I know that I have several pings to answer but I need to lie down for a few minutes.
I’ll be back.

:) I didn't get any of the cake, but did manage to grab a few cookies before they were gone. I

Oooops ... I did it again.
I previewed the above post about 11:55. When I came back from my nap, it was still in preview mode.
Just posted it so you would know that I really had planned to let you know I was leaving. :^ )

Yummy ... I'll have pumpkin cake. May I take some chocolate chip cookies for later?
I have no idea why I don't lose any weight. :)

In today's mail, there was a backyard bird calendar
from the Children's Cancer Society.
Since we started the day with Trees, today is a perfect day for the birds.
Happy Monday, Everyone.

Happy Monday afternoon, Kitty.
I love the photos of The Kings Ranch, Kitty.
I always look forward to your photos.
I used to enjoy yard work, but I've really slacked off.
Too difficult to get around.
Have a lovely Monday and a Blessed week.

"The Art of Poetry" Some think the poet deft, at weaving words and thoughts together,
When that is not his art at all, but only an artifact of his skill.
Some think that his vocabulary gives him strength to rend and wrest his concepts to align,
With something he has dwelling deep inside his mind.
But no, it is not words or playfulness with them that makes a poet,
It is his vision, in which he sees the world as if a leaf, or a seed, or a drop of water.
It's not his tongue that makes the poet; it is his eye.
