It's the kind of astute analysis you'd expect from MSNBC - the place for the politics. CNBC regular and MSNBC fill-in anchor Donny Deutsch solved the mystery behind the media's fascination with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
According to the former advertising executive, it has nothing to do with her stance on several hot-button issues - an advocate of gun rights, a pro-life stance on abortion, pro-exploration and drilling for oil and concerned about the fiscal policies of President Barack Obama. Instead, he contended, it is her sexual appeal that held the media's attention - and not just from a male perspective, but a female perspective as well.

It’s her beliefs and principles, but she has a unique way of presenting them to the electorate. She’s candid and bold in her communication style, plus, she always looks like she’s having a great time.
Yes, she’s gorgeous, but it’s her inner spirit that is so inspiring.
So, I disagree with that host; her spirit won’t fade and that’s what most of us are responding to.

I do think that Palin outward beauty is something of catalyst, both for her supporters as well as her detractors. And, while she probably has a harder time than "a good looking" male, I don't think that men are immune to the kind of personal appearance comments that Palin is facing from time to time.

he is right, this is why women on the left hate sarah palin. she is beautiful. beautiful women get lots of attention and the left hates the fact that this particular pretty woman is a conservative with real integrity, values, and guts. they only want pretty liberal women to be noticed, talked about, and (dare i say) revered. they want this because liberal women want to be like men, want abortion, want to save the planet from that (mythical)global warming, and want to share other peoples wealth with poor folks. if sarah palin gets attention from people who think she is pretty, those people will hear what she has to say and think “wow, what a woman”. they will realize that a woman (pretty or not) is capable of being tough, no nonsense, feminine, a mother, a governor, a wife, and so much more. they will realize that the feminazis lied. real women can be womanly, not men in drag, and they can be someones role model. this is what the left must prevent at all costs.
Palin is WICKED hot. I can fault this commentator for pointing out the obvious.
1) She is not a lawyer
2) She is not an elite
3) It’s not her fault Hillary is a fat cow
