A 22-year-old Birmingham woman broke her leg after a train hit her this morning on the 2100 block of Morris Avenue, Birmingham police said.
The woman told police she was laying on the tracks "to clear her mind" when the train approached around 7 a.m., Officer Lawrence Billups said.
The CSX train was moving about 10 mph when it hit her, Billups said.

Doh!

absolutely sounds like her mind needed to be cleared if she thought that lying on train tracks was smart.
To: Wardenclyffe
Wow. Set her leg, and while you’re at it, sterilize her. Too dumb to reproduce is the phrase that comes to mind.

If the other end had been sticking over the tracks she’d have lost her mind instead.

Yow! I would volunteer to clear her mind personally. It might take some time, however...

I’d lay my head on the railroad tracks
And wait for the Double “E”
But the railroad don’t run no more

Sounds like the old joke about what goes through a bug’s mind when it hits a windshield at 80 mph.

I find that being hit by a train is the absolutely best way to clear ones mind.

The woman told police she was laying on the tracks "to clear her mind"...I'd have to say it worked. Her mind was a completely clean slate with no actual information of processes to clutter it up...

re: broke her leg after a train hit her this morning
Wow, talk about determined! Being hit by a train wasn't enough, she had to go and break a leg too.
Where in the world are all the copy editors? My guess is her leg was broken when she was hit by a train.
I hate to be a nit-picker but if we don't get a handle on this in a few years the language won't make any sense at all.
