This is a feel good story.
This is what a Wedding should be like.
Have you seen this yet?
It's big on YouTube right now.
Members of a wedding party dance up a storm at this wedding.
You've got to see it to believe it.
That's how I saw it. Life is difficult enough, somber enough. When joy breaks through it's a salve to the bruised soul. Marriage between and man and a woman should be joyous, it affirms the best of what God created man to be.
But there's a delicate balance between self-indulgence and joy. I do not believe this celebration transgressed the line from from joy to mere self-indulgence. I can't articulate why, I can't put it into words. But I never detected a false note.
Why does everything nowadays have to be about entertainment?!
I was just watching that tonight...
Wedding music???????????
The joy we're talking about is actually "making a joyous sound unto the Lord." Such celebration is actually a form of worship loved by God. So it should be no surprise that to witness such a worship would bring a reassurance in one's heart as to the rightness of it, since none other than God would reflect that joy in our own hearts as well.
If that sounds like I'm saying that God actually speaks to us personally as joy in our hearts, then good - that's what I meant.
First, it was Generation X.
Then, Generation Y.
Now, Generation ME.
Nobody said you HAD to dance when you’re happy. You seem to just want to argue.
UUUUGGGHHH!
It’s an awesome entrance and it made me smile — but the setting was beyond inappropriate. If you choose a church for the wedding, they you act like you are in a church!
I would have loved to have done this at my own wedding as the entrance to the reception
Fair answer - thanks!
Thanks for posting!
Seriously...I’m a committed Christian who is careful not to confuse what is sacred with what is not...but this video is wonderful! So refreshing to see people enjoying life instead of taking everything so seriously!
Rock on!!!
You’re asking if we always feel the need to dance when we are happy? Like that’s a bad thing???
We should ALL be so free and joyful in our everyday lives that bursting out into dance and song is something which frequently happens. If you can’t understand that, I truly and sincerely feel sorry for you. You are missing out on a happy life (despite realities that always come our way)!
This video shows a total lack of respect.
Sorry. This choreographed demonstration was about these individuals wanting attention. Nothing more.
Anyone trying to make this out to be “for God” is wrong.
The church ceremony is about joining two people in marriage under God as he instructed.
If this “show” was really about a joyous outburst of love of life or love of God, then it wouldn’t have been obviously rehearsed and planned.

The way I look at it is that the couple chose where they wanted to be married. If they wanted a non-traditional wedding entrance, why choose a traditional setting? Heck, combine the wedding ceremony and reception together and really break out in song - instead of performing, make it something that everyone can be a part of instead of just watching
Meh....it’s just my opinion, it’s not like I’m deciding for the world
I agree. This was tacky as heck, IMO. But then, I'm an old fashioned kinda girl who believes that church is a place of respect, reverence and propriety.
In reference to your observation, there are many people now who get married in church who have nothing to do with God at any other time in their life. They get married in a church because it's what's "expected" not because they agree with the biblical concept. These people are obviously attention whores and simply wanted a cool video to make them famous on YouTube, in my opinion. Now, if they had done this at the reception as another poster mentioned that would have been funny and appropriate.
I thought it was great .. maybe not what *I* would have chosen, but seems to have worked for them.
What isn’t covered is the couple’s and their friends’ backgrounds. It could be they do local stage performances .. there was a certain amount of choreography done to make this work, which would make it not only fun but a labor of love and exhibition of their God-given gifts.
I should hope if I am ever lucky enough to get married again that I would have the dignity and respect for my bride-to-be that I wouldn’t let a bunch of yayhoos carry on like drunken frat partiers...
Well we're kind of wandering off topic here but...Ok. As far as the OP, I simply don't think the video shows what "all weddings should be".
And please don't "feel sorry" for me b/c I don't dance or sing where it's inappropriate. I don't laugh when it's inappropriate, even if I'm thinking something is really very funny. It's just not my way.
