I have a wee tiny suggestion for Free Republic.
Is it at all possible to have a ZOT category, just as for General chat, or smokey back room?
It would be genuinely nice to have a place where the shame of so many trolls could be put on public display!
Thanks Mods!

I thought for sure you’re be sweet potato pie!!
Sorry, I’ve been up since 0630 EDT, but had to get ready for Frank’s baptism immediately.
Everything very successful. The blanket from his Aunty ‘Face features prominently in the photos, which I’ll try to get at least one up before we go to bed tonight.
Awwww....
I’ll look for them. No hurry. I had forgotten that today was The Day!
*HUG*
We had his godparents and their children and a friend from choir over for lunch, and then Frank and I took naps. Then I made soup and ate it! When it’s cool, I’ll freeze some of it and save some for meals later in the week.
Ash was excited to have guests. Shannon disappeared and I found her when I went to nap. Frank still has Sacred Chrism on his little bald head: he smells like frankincense and myrrh!
I love that smell!
Yep. When there is a baptism, folks come from all over.
I wiped it off his head with his towel (not your blanket!) so I’ll have the smell until I give Frank a bath *and* wash the towel.
Mmmmm! Every once in a while, I buy a little frankencense and myrrh, just to smell it!
Attempting to create a 3d model in Wings 3d of Bradamante.
Or, what I see the ship to be in my minds eye.
Probably won’t get far, as my skills with 3d stink, but I’ll try.
I just emailed you some pictures. Notice your blanket! You’ll see it more in Bill’s pictures, if any are in focus, because he took the ones of the actual baptism, when we were standing.
I did some poking around youtube and found this.

Yah. Fortunately I still have 3-1/2" drives in machines, and I think one machine with 5-1/4". (I have spares of these if needed.) It didn't take long to go through the 3-1/2" disks, but the 5-1/4s will take longer -- if I even want to. I have tons of really old stuff, like archives of debates on Usenet talk.politics.misc and more from alt.rec.sca (Society for Creative Anachronisms) from the mid to late 1980s. There are at least some nice how-tos in the latter, including an Atholl Brose recipe we've used for over two decades now.
But the joy tonight is that the Australia photos from 1999 are found -- LoM had a copy on an old hard drive now serving as a secondary drive in her current machine.
But it's been a long day, starting with the news that a former (semi-) parishioner had just passed in New Mexico, receiving our new priest (and I got to serve with him -- this was a joy!), and learning that two more of ours are in hospice and one not expected to live out the week.
After that we joined our Iranian friends for a "FREE IRAN" rally. LoM had printed out the Iranian national anthem (the old one, dumped after the Revolution) in Latin phonetics so she could sing along (she can't read much Farsi anymore) -- but also in translation and read that to me in the car on the way over. Powerful, lovely, and very very Persian in its expression.
Afterwards the Americans were treated to a dinner Iranian-style (invitations had been made earlier). Such warmth and hospitality (not to mention *wonderful* food)!! No wonder LoM fell in love with Iran in her time there.
But the stories of Iran today are depressing. The destruction going on there of the things once beautiful (the rose gardens of Tehran that LoM remembers are all gone, for example) is bad enough, but what the regime is doing to its people is far, far worse. FReepers get this news, at least some of it, on FR but the American public is generally unaware and the American press rarely prints it. ~~~~~ *\>8^(
A little more online business elsewhere and I'm off for the night.
Parrothead kitteh sez, I'm an over-40 victim of fate!
Good catch! I done passed it on.
Met with my boss this morning. Not going to China this fall -- I'm needed in Santa Fe instead.
I’m back after a three-day trip to Pennsylvania. It was a real good visit, but no internet available.
Whew! Took me all of fifteen minutes to catch up on all the posts.
Hi, y’all. Busy day here, plus naps, and teh interwebs is upwhacked in the other room so I can read my email.
Dinner’s out of the way now, being some fresh Pennsylvania sweet corn that we picked up on the way. (Maybe I shouldn’t have driven through that cornfield after all!)
Dishes done too. All I have to do now is attend my monthly computer meeting. Sometimes we even talk about computers.
