I have a wee tiny suggestion for Free Republic.
Is it at all possible to have a ZOT category, just as for General chat, or smokey back room?
It would be genuinely nice to have a place where the shame of so many trolls could be put on public display!
Thanks Mods!
We had a white cat with a crooked tail, and she was an awesome mouser. But because we lived where we did, fleas were not an issue. And we didn’t have carpeted floors.
Still, the winters were miserable, and I used to worry about the cats.
Ick.
I got Shannon in last night just before it started pouring rain.
She would have been highly insulted if she’d had to endure being WET!!
She was annoyed that I made her come in. DP and Bill saw her prowling the neighbor’s yard the other night when they came home from running; she’s obviously in the habit of wandering the neighborhood now at night. We’re trying to remember not to let her out in the evening, even when it’s still light.
Well, must get back to Frank, and Tom wants the computer for something involving dragons.
I’ve always been too afraid of predators to let my cats out. The white cat we had growing up was shot with an arrow by the neighborhood bully, and we had to have a cast put on her right rear leg.
Most dogs were farm dogs, so we seldom saw any strays, anywhere.
We’ve never lost a cat to predators, fortunately. Had one hit by a car, when I was a child, but he recovered (with a cast ;-). I’d rather Shannon stayed in at night, though.
It’s a bit drizzly in Auburn. Ordinarily I’d be overjoyed, but we’re having our house painted and the guys don’t like moist air.
They’re happier than they were last week, though. Painting in 100 degree temperatures is not fun. In fact, doing darn near ANYTHING in 100 degree temperatures is not fun.
That’s why folks have swimming pools!
Or hot tubs with the heat turned off. ;-)
My two wouldn’t know how to act outside. The debris blown by the wind scares them. I think they like to be scared. They keep going back for more!!!
Yah! That works!!!
Hi, Sandy!
Hi, ‘Face!
We don’t have too many pools out here, at least not “in ground”. For one thing, we’re built on the remains of the last big spew from Mt. Rainier that created the Puget Sound. Digging through several feet of rocky volcano spewage would require serious heavy machinery.
Our neighbor did put up one of those above ground things for his kids, so he’s very popular with the neighborhood. I’m waiting for him to be told to dismantle it, though, because his side fence is only four feet tall and his pool is accessible from the street to anyone who wished to vault over the fence.
Good thing he doesn’t live here. The city is rabid about “child-proof” fences around pools.
Hey! It made my day! I am honored to have an undead thread and still be able to post on it! WOO HOO!!!! I feel like I ducked an Ax or something!
Up and at work, in a portion of a teleconf not relevant to my work. Nice & grey & cool again today.
Windy, here, and a tad cooler. Of course, my sinuses are revolting.
OTOH, there is rain in the forecast. *\:^) Sorry for Sandy's painters...
Upper 70s and cloudy here. I have to go to Wal-mart, but I’m having trouble finding a useful volunteer (i.e., not Pat or James) to go with me. Maybe I’ll take the purple car.
Tom made a card for your grandson. I’ll write a note and put it in the mail today or tomorrow.
Yah. I know the feeling. I coughed most of the night, and my throat is raw and scratchy. The nose is another story.
