Does FR need a ZOT category? (Vanity)
Free Republic ^ | 7-16-2009 | Danae

I have a wee tiny suggestion for Free Republic.

Is it at all possible to have a ZOT category, just as for General chat, or smokey back room?

It would be genuinely nice to have a place where the shame of so many trolls could be put on public display!

Thanks Mods!

Sounds good. I like grilled eggplant, too.

Frank had gone to sleep, and DP couldn’t start cooking until I moved him ;-).

What a pretty kitteh. Did she have a big voice, or just the Siamese coloring?

Have to see what we can do. The Persian restaurant in Redmond closed, and a middle-Eastern one at the foot of Queen Anne hill (close to the Seattle Center) is gone too. Does she like Greek?

I’m here, but I’m already yawning. My body wants to go back to bed, but my mind tells me I need to stay up for a while.

Felt much the same. But dragged myself out of bed, off to church, and then the Free Iran rally.

Yes, she likes Greek okay too. Too bad about the Persian restaurant. One up in Charlotte reinvented itself as a hookah bar!

We have a superb Greek restaurant in Seattle. (Fremont district, about two blocks from the Lenin statue.)

Pass the phyllo pies, and don’t let her vandalize the Lenin statue!

Heh. Folks on FR get really up in arms over that statue, but they wouldn't if they saw how it gets treated -- even by the lefties who make up Fremont. I've seen it with brown, dried-out garlands that were placed on it in spring, with a yellow rubber ducky perched (attached?) to the cap's brim, and other signs of disrespect.

And let's be blunt, the statue is in some ways an affront to them. To Lenin's back are symbolized guns representing armed, violent revolution.

They would NOT treat a statue of Lennon this way.

I view the presence of this statue here (not to mention how it came to be here, and how it is treated) a symbol of our victory over the Soviet Union.

Sounds good to me!

I’ve assigned Bill to make a slideshow of pictures of Anoreth, with music and captions, in time to mail out for Christmas. (I’ll pay if it’s done well and on time, without constant nagging.) We’ll have to get some pics of Seattle, and maybe she’ll meet someone with a camera who can take a picture on the cutter.

My aunt made a photo album for each of my cousins when they left home, but we haz teh technology so I don’t have to decimate my photo collection. Bill’s done shows for the Cub Scouts the last couple of years that were very successful.

Nope, no big voice, just a tender little meow. She was as gentle as the photo appears. She used to lie next to me and lick the hair on my arm from the wrist all the way to the elbow, for like a 1/2 hour. She loved grooming me. LOL! I really miss her. (tears.)

Beautiful cat! I’ve always loved the longhaired orientals, but we go with shorthairs to keep the mess under control.

Our Shannon likes to wash people, too. I was nursing the baby in my room this morning, and I heard a loud, “Scritch, scritch, scritch.” It turned out Shannon was sleeping in Frank’s bed, and she was licking the mattress cover with a surprising reverberation. I guess Frank had dribbled some some milk on it!

I’m sorry about your loss. I still miss my old Agnes, who died about 4 years ago. We understood each other!
