9mm kurtz/shorts are called .380 "three-eighty" so they will NOT say 9mm on the box.

Thank God - With my low sloping forehead, one can only wonder what I would walk away with???

If you can't find ammo at Walmart if you're close to a Bass Pro Shop or Cabela’s you usually can find it there.

Well they may say 9mm Kurz, but if you ask for 9 mil, you'll get 9x19. There is a 9x18, it's a Russian round, with a slightly different diameter, but it's ususally termed 9 mm Makarov.

But, the boxes you want will either 9mm parabellum, 9mm Lugar, or 9x19. It's all the same.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding the defense rounds, but the FMJ "practice" rounds might be a bit harder to find. I didn't pay any attention at Cabella's when I was there a couple of weeks ago, since both my centerfire pistols are .45 ACP, and I'm well stocked in that anyway. I did look at .22 Long Rifle, since I have one each handgun and rifle in that, but there was none, not hollow points, not bare lead, not copper plated. Nada, except a few boxes of Federal .22 shotshells.
