Loved the picture, yorkie!
I hope to be able to come by more often now that a few major events that I was involved in are behind me. Plus, I am going to be subbing for Amy a couple days while she is back in DC, so I thought I'd better reintroduce myself. ;-)
Awwwwwww.............you are so sweet, jaycee. Your graphic made me smile.
I have housework on my “to do” list today too. Dirt, we fight it our entire lives, moving it from one place to another. *sigh*
Only one thing wrong. From what the poem says it gives the impression that there were no glass panes in the window (casement). He tapped on the shutters and, when she opened the shutters, her hair was hanging out of the window for him to snort.
Also, the Redcoats where waiting at the windows to shoot him with Brown Bess muskets that fired 75 caliber balls. Couldn’t shoot something like that through a glass window pane.
Hey, thats why I have so much housework! I stay on the computer too much and don’t get it done....bad girl I am! And there she is ‘washing by hand’....I seldom...no, never do that...just use the gentle cycle and pretend I am doing it by hand. When something says ‘wash by hand’ I say “Pfffft”...
Well now, aren’t we the happy little housewife? LOL! When I vacuum, I say ‘oh my hip’ or ‘oh my back’. I am seriously thinking of getting someone to vacuum this big house and maybe clean the 2 bathrooms and I think I can do the rest. But its so hard to find someone these days unless you go to one of those cleaning companies and they want BIG MONEY!
I like that graphic, yorkie! Several months ago I was going to post a graphic with Loreena’s Highwayman song and I looked all over the internet for something I liked that I could make into a graphic for the Highwayman. I never saw this one that you posted. I eventually decided not to use her version of the Highwayman because it is so long and is such a huge mp3 file. I posted her “Night Ride Across the Caucasus” with the running horses instead.
Had I come across the graphic you posted, I might have used it. :-)
BBL!
Must do some work or turn in my resignation....now who would I turn that into anyway?
LOL~~~
Heard you the first time.....teehee....things are slow here today and that causes me to double post too!
I really have missed everyone here. I had some major "things" I was involved in that just took all my attention, but it's all behind me now so I should be able to hang around a bit, in between our short trips with our 5th wheel. My husband is determined to take it "somewhere" at least once a month, otherwise, he says, there is no reason to have it. I am glad to see him taking some long weekends off from work. He's always worked too hard but I think he is finally realizing that life is too short to spend all of it working.
In June we went to the NASCAR race in Sonoma, in July we went to Lake Tahoe and next month we are going down to San Diego. Just short three day weekends, but it's fun, and the dogs are enjoying the trips, I think. It's hard to tell. They also seem really happy to get back home too. LOL.
LOL..I hate to vacuum..I have the “machine “ out ...so far no action..I never try to clean all at once..Take a little at a time..I once set the timer..vacuumed no more than 10 minutes at a time..That way it isn’t overwhelming..
Vacuuming doesn’t ‘get to me’ like emptying the dishwasher or clothes dryer. Don’t know why...........
TTYL!
Oh, almost forgot. Are you watching the Bachelorette? The finale is on tonight. We get to see who Jillian picks. My choice, Reid, got booted off last week, but I think he comes back tonight, from what I saw in the previews. Anyway, I am outta here. Later!
