A city man was tooling down a country road when his car sputtered to a
complete stop near a field filled with cows. The driver, getting out to
see what was the matter, noticed one of the cows looking at him.
"I believe it's your radiator," said the cow.
The man nearly jumped right out of his city slicker britches! He ran to
the nearest farmhouse and knocked on the door.
"A cow just gave me advice about my car!" he shouted, waving his arms
frantically back toward the field.
The farmer nonchalantly leaned out beyond the door frame to glance down the field.
"The cow with two big black spots on it?" the farmer asked slowly.
"Yes! Yes! That's the one!" the excited man replied.
"Oh. Well, that's Ethyl," the farmer said, turning back to the man. "Don't pay any
Attention to her. She doesn't know anything about cars."

Thank you for sharing your jokes, music and graphics with us.
We may have started the day on a sad note, but it has gone uphill from there. :)

IMHO, “sad” is part of life. We need to face it, take it in, deal with it, and ‘mooooooo-ve’ on with our lives.
(IOW, Kittens and birds and flowers are alright most of the time - in fact they are a pleasant diversion from what we are reading and hearing on the news, daily.)
But, once in awhile, we must ‘look’ at the ‘realities’ of life, so today was a *good* thing, Amy.

Thanks, Yorkie.
You are right ..... Into each life some rain must fall. We face the realities and go on with our lives.

How will we answer them?
__________________________
A Question From The Front
I weep in stifled silence, remembering the day
those lost, and those hurt, and those who stay
Blackness of the night matching the dark of soul
and I silent ask will myself ever again be whole
Home is in the real world somewhere far away
and those I love who hold me in heart do pray
I hold a gun built by the lowest bidder now
and hope that the damn thing works somehow
I do that which the uncaring leaders demand of me
as their hateful children protest across a safe sea
When I come home will it even be the same world
or will I find the old flag being quietly furled
If I come back will it be free, will it be home
or will I find it just some other place to roam
Did you keep it free, so my sacrifice is worthy for all
or will I find you failed, made it weak enough to fall

Beautiful, JOHNN, but so sad.
We must do what we can for those who are fighting to protect our freedoms.
Thank you for sharing.

Late night greetings to Amy's Place.
Our annual journey to the State of Washington is now complete. A great time with family and friends as we honored mrsdd's Dad's 90th birthday. His BD actually falls in October, but who wants to have a picnic in the park when it's 20 degrees and snowing?
We managed to add 2500 miles to the ol' Rendezvous this trip. No flat tires or engine problems this year.
Viewing beautiful familiar sites along the journey kept my finger busy on the shutter and following are a couple of pix. The first one was a beautiful site to see as we passed though Redding, CA on the way home traveling along I-5. The second pic was rather discouraging to see, but considering the make-up of the CA state legislature it's understandable that they would have a street named after them in Corning, CA...
It's GREAT to be home

Welcome home, Dave. Glad that you made it safe and sound. We’ve missed you. How depressing to see they’ve named a street after our state congress critters. :)
Beautiful flag. Thank you.
