Thats a darling graphic, Billie!

Yeah, it will be a better day. Waiting for the Rental people to come and fix the flat and take the car and leave! Hate waiting and not know when they will come! If we can’t change it, we just swing with the punches, right?

See ya later....weather is nice here too, it will be a little hotter after while but thats okay too!

Looks like I've been the sleepyhead this morning.
Sorry that I didn't get here sooner.
I was awake for a couple of hours early this morning, but
I had plenty of rest.

Now I need to catch up on the thread.
Hope everyone is having a mild, fuzzy Wednesday. *smile*

I always wondered if the Depression caused those ol’ timey sad songs or did the ol’ timey sad songs cause the Depression?

When I was about the same age as the kid in the graphic, there was a song called “Please Mommy Please Stay Home with Me” that always gave me a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye.

Sad opening poem today.
I came accross this graphic that seemed to envelope the words......

LIFE

LIFE, believe, is not a dream
So dark as sages say;
Oft a little morning rain
Foretells a pleasant day.

Sometimes there are clouds of gloom,
But these are transient all;
If the shower will make the roses bloom,
O why lament its fall?

Rapidly, merrily,
Life's sunny hours flit by,
Gratefully, cheerily
Enjoy them as they fly!

What though Death at times steps in,
And calls our Best away?
What though sorrow seems to win,
O'er hope, a heavy sway?

Yet Hope again elastic springs,
Unconquered, though she fell;
Still buoyant are her golden wings,
Still strong to bear us well.

Manfully, fearlessly,
The day of trial bear,
For gloriously, victoriously,
Can courage quell despair!

Charlotte Bronte (1816-1855)

Good afternoon Fewz.
I didn't get any cow graphics made yesterday so everyone gets cow jokes. :)

I remember several of the old western songs were sad.
When I was a kid, someone said ...
"Western songs are all alike; the guy either loses his dog or his girl."
Was it because it was a tough time and everyone was blue? I dunno.

Have a lovely day.

Howdy hi and a wonderful warm fuzzy Wednesday, Friends.

Woa! I didn’t know until today, why Freud always wore loose shirts!

Yup, cleavage.

It's not all Freud's fault that he was nuts; Pavlov contributed . . .

Johnn, you sound like you are in dire need of a good "Man" dish!
This recipe is so easy, and SO good!
I serve this with steamed rice and hot, buttered broccoli.

GRAPE JELLY MEATBALLS

2 lb. hamburger
1 c. bread crumbs
Minced onion or chopped onion to taste
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Mix ingredients together and make small meatballs.
Brown and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

SAUCE:

1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
1 (16 oz.) jar grape jelly

Combine and bring to a boil. Spread over meatballs.
Cook meatballs and boiled sauce in crock pot for 2 to 3 hours.
