The economists still seem to be arguing over whether we will be hit with Deflation or Inflation. In time, it will be apparent which of these is upon us. And at that point, people will look up and say "My God! How did this happen?"

And even at that point, I'm not sure Obama will collapse.

I think his support is already crumbling among the upper middle class liberals who voted for him out of white guilt. They thought that racism would be brought to a swift end in the new “post racial” America but the screams of racism have only gotten louder.

Americans aren’t much better I’ve seen. If conservatives are made out to be villians to the point that they are mocked for getting upset that a 14 year old is the butt of a joke of RAPE, then why would anything else surprise anyone?

Obama’s support is beginning to erode among some people, particularly whites who voted for him. But they’re often afraid to say so for fear of being thought politically incorrect.

I live in one of the most liberal counties in the US. I occasionally do a verbal probe, just offering a hint that Obama isn’t perfect or that people who worship him might be attributing too much to him. I find quite a number of people who might once have adored him who indicate that they are becoming disenchanted, though they are very circumspect until they’re sure it’s safe to say so. It’s interesting . . . and very reminiscent of life in Soviet Russia.

Obama’s support will collapse when Unemployment tops 12.5%. In other words, around about October 1.

I think a lot of those who supported him are waiting for the right thing to come along so they won't be called racist, or God forbid, conservative for dumping him. That, and the Senate will be after a piece of him real soon. Some think he's smart to keep moving fast so the republicans can't organize opposition. He's really doing it to keep his own party face down in the trough instead of organizing opposition.

Either The One will futz up royally, or one of the Czars he appointed and the Senate can't even subpoena, then they'll look around and go after him. Just like the Roman Senate, they want to run things, not some dictator. Byrd warned him, and I don't think it was no reason. I think he did it as a word to the wise, but of course, The One is anything but wise. He has a 'gift', he doesn't need wisdom, you know?
