HEMET, Calif. (CBS) ―
Size really doesn't matter, as a trio of Chihuahuas proved by cornering a full-grown, adult mountain lion in their owner's garage.
Ana Lee Spray of Sage, near Hemet, heard her three Chihuahuas barking in her garage and went to check out commotion. Spray was surprised to see the massive, angry cat hissing at her and her dogs and immediately took her pets inside.
Spray called 911 and officers from the Department of Fish and Game tranquilized the mountain lion. The big cat had to be tranquilized again after running from the garage.

Micro-dogs, lol.
I have an English Mastiff (300 lb) who is terrified of my 4lb Toy Fox Terrier.

I used to raise German Shepherd/Timber wolf hybrids. At one point I had 20 or so on my property. Eventually the power company refused to read my meter because of my chihuahua! True story!

Hope the Game Commission approves their own proposed increase of the DFG&P recommended increase of the season quota, to 40/25F.
A couple of years ago, a neighbor broke his arm when one spooked his horse, and it threw him.
Last year, three (Mom & 2 juveniles) ran through another neighbor’s yard, chased by yet another neighbor’s dog.
About 10 years ago, one killed a yearling colt at our spring.
Been several confirmed sightings & a few killed inside Hot Springs city limits over the past three years. Now that the city culled a hundred city deer, this past winter, their may be less of a ‘draw’ for them.

I really don’t want a pet that will corner a mountain lion in my garage.

Just hope no one notices the fresh mound of dirt in the back yard! If you don't pile it too high and deep...

I knew Chihuahuas and other micro-dogs could convince them*selves* that they're full-sized dogs. Had no idea they could convince a mountain lion. Ol' mountain lion was convinced she didn't have a chance with a pack of three of them. Those guys are fast. Chihuahuas are to dogs what piranhas are to fish!

I think any big cat or bear that encroaches on human habitat should be killed...if not they just bring there offspring into the area...If they are killed off, the ones that stay away from human habitat will continue to stay away...Idiot enviors. that want them protected should have them introduced into their back yards..I am sure that where they live, these critters were once native to their city lives...like central park in Manhattan...I think it needs a small pack of wolves and a couple of bears...that would keep the muggers under control..

Last time I had my lab into the vets, someone was in with an english mastiff..I asked him if it was a bull mastiff and he said no english..didn’t know there are 2 kinds...beautiful head on that dog..

Not sure I believe this story. Storing food outside is a no no that any one who has lived or camped in the “outback” learns early.

Here they are in timeout. They are normally very good and don't need to be crated but when they get on my nerves they spend 15 minutes or so in timeout. They don't consider it punishment because they love the crates but sometimes I can't deal with fetching them off the top of things. :-) If they get too wild I almost need my husband's fishing dip net to catch them.

Hey Eaker! What would the pit have killed? The mountain lion or the Chihuahua?

Powder..patch..ball FIRE!
They are really becoming a problem. I worry about our three young grandchildren who live about a half mile down the road from us. Any thing small is prey for the big cats.
SSS...Shoot, shovel, shut up...

A pitbull killing a full grown puma? Not likely.

If the title had said ‘cougar’ instead of ‘mountain lion’ this could have been a much more amusing thread...
