GREEN BAY, WI (WXOW) - 10-year-old Kennedy Corpus had a really good excuse for missing the last day of school-a note from the President of the United States.
Kennedy's father took her to the President's town hall in Green Bay Thursday. When John Corpus was called on to ask a question, he mentioned that his daughter was missing her last day of fourth grade to see the speech today.
"I hope she doesn't get in trouble," Mr. Corpus told the president. "Do you need me to write a note?" the President asked and then proceeded to ask the girls name, take out a pen from his pocket, rip the corner of a sheet of paper at the podium, and then begin writing. The audience applauded and Mr. Obama went on to answer the father's question.
Later, the proud fourth grader showed off her valuable excuse note, which read, "To Kennedy's teacher - Please excuse Kennedy's absence. She's with me. (signed) Barack Obama."
So do they turn in the note next fall?
Unless demonstrated otherwise, all Lord Zero’s “town hall meetings” are fully and completely orchestrated. Don’t be surprised when he starts healing the sick and blind through the laying on of his hands.
It's my kid and I'll take her out of school whenever I damn well please, cuz I'm the parent, and its MY decision.
If my kids stay home because I want to take them to a political rally, or to take a family field trip, or I'm too hung over to drive them to school, that's MY choice.
Get in trouble. Bump that.
I can’t stand the SOB, but this is kinda cute.
I agree. That kid and her Dad were a plant. Our side controls these types of events, too. Too bad Biden wasn't there. It would've been another 'foot in mouth' fest, LOL!
Dear FReepers,
You're doing a great job. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
PS: Love the pictures!
