Religious Nuts
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Colossians 4:6
I have a friend who was invited to a dinner party where he was seated next to a belligerent unbeliever who delighted in taunting Christians.
Throughout the evening, the man baited Matt mercilessly about the evils of Christendom throughout the ages. With each insult, my friend calmly replied, Thats an interesting point of view. And then he asked a question that revealed genuine interest in the man and deflected the discussion away from the issue that divided them.
As the two were walking out the door at the end of the evening, the man fired a final jab, at which point Matt put his arm around the other mans shoulders and chuckled. My friend, he said, all night long youve been trying to talk to me about religion. Are you a religious nut?
The mans animosity dissolved in a burst of laughter and then in sobriety, for he was indeed a religious nut. All human beings are. Were insatiably and incurably religioushounded by the relentless love of God, though we may try to keep Him away. Matts kindness and deft humor awakened this mans heart so that he could be receptive to the gospel.
We are to be wise as serpents (Matt. 10:16) when dealing with non-Christians, speaking to them with grace, seasoned with salt (Col. 4:6).
You have called us, Lord, to witness
Called to speak the truth in love;
O how much we need Your guidance
And Your wisdom from above. D. De Haan
As the salt of the earth, Christians can make others thirsty for the Water of Life.

Good Morning The Mayor :)
How are you?
Thank You for this lesson! Best to open the eyes of someone like this, when we can, than to push them away.
Wishing you a terrific day!

Thanks! Always great to see you! I so much enjoy peeking in and seeing your lovely pings, Jaycee! :)
I was very ill from allergies. Went to Dr. and she said, it was a good thing I had gone in, or I would have ended up with bacterial pneumonia. Took 2 weeks to get better from this. Doing fine now. :) Now we are busy finishing up the school year with many of the end of year events.
Have a great day (((Jaycee)))!

Not All Changes Bring Hope
From sea to shining sea the wide land is virile
deep and rich earth to bring the harvest, for a while
But the new forces come that may bring change
leaving behind only barren unproductive range
What was is once so very proud is fading, fading away
And those who speak, we can not trust what they say
The dream of a better world is being taken away
and the cost may be paid in our grandchildrens day
Hope becomes but another word in a sea of talk
as homes and futures are being chained to a lock
What was once so very proud is fading, fading away
And those who speak, we can not trust what they say
Purpled mountains fall to grain draped plains below
around the pinnacles of cities reaching for the sky so
But the cities are crumbling, and the grain is more weed
the greatness of once is now just tattered, gone to seed
What was is once so very proud is fading, fading away
And those who speak, we can not trust what they say
We see dreams of our children, as water over a dam it dawns
gone as leaders seek the power of their grasp upon us pawns
Shallow imitation of the greatness we once knew so pale
and they will be sure to write the history of how we did fail
What was is once so very proud is fading, fading away
And those who speak, we can not trust what they say

The America I grew up in and fought for is nearly gone.
The Constitution is ignored, the rights of Americans superseded to the DC mindset
Fascism nationalizes our lives and jobs and future.
We watch our rights evaporate and no one does anything.
Are we afraid of our government? If so then we can no longer call ourselves free!
Are we just happy to take that little stimulus check, glad that the master in the big house is think kindly of us today?
Our political representatives are becoming our masters, and we dont stand up and say no.
Is our will so low they can, or are we already slaves, because we lost the will to be free?
I guess we better start referring to each other as Comrade insert name here on the board, to get used to what we are accepting for ourselves and our children, itll make it easier then resisting for the next few months.
I dont think there are enough of us to stand on the bridge at Concord this time, I guess the new King wins this time. No anger, no resistance, except from a few who care enough to stand up, (until the rest of the gutless tell us to sit down and stop rocking the boat.)
Sorry to sound so negative, but we are losing America and it seems so few care, so few speak out, so few seem to want what was, before hope and change came to destroy a great nation and make it a pale copy of a defeated France!

Such a pretty daughter, Polly! I especially like the first picture with her sitting down - reading the card from the wrist corsage?
Your ferns are so luxurious and green - makes a great backdrop for her in the second pic!
