My goodness, what a sight of food! Hope you didn’t have to cook it all! I made potato soup and cornbread yesterday and made a big mess!
I am so glad to hear he is making such wonderful progress! I do hope you can take him in the car soon. That will really boost his spirits. Good luck, you must be a perfect daughter. I’m sure he is thrilled to have you by his side.

What a precious little curly headed doll he is! I think its a he....I had trouble reading the poem....even tried highlighting, that usually works...but couldnt read it well enough. Bet its cute! Thanks, jaycee. I'm sorry you had trouble reading the poem - highlighting wouldn't have worked because the text is part of the jpeg. I thought I had enough contrast in the text and the black background that no one would have trouble reading it. :(
I remember when my first monitor was beginning to wear out, I had trouble with dark backgrounds and had to 'lighten' jpegs more than I should have. Then I bought a new monitor and lo and behold grey, brown, dark blue etc weren't really BLACK after all! LOL
Anyway, here's the poem - it is cute, and I have to agree that's about the 'prettiest' little boy I've ever seen!
Just A Kid
by Reatha Crow
I'm just a little kid
and my Daddy thinks I'm fine.
He says I never cause him problems,
but my Mama says he's blind.
I have to eat at the table.
I can't eat and watch TV.
he makes me say, "Yes, Ma'm,
Thank you and Please."
Dad says there's lots of time
for me to learn these things,
and he never does get made when
I track mud in all the rooms.
He says I'm just a kid
and I meant no harm
when I wrote on the walls and
dumped my toys in the yard.
Mom made me pick them up and
even made me clean the walls.
I think Dad is right and
I shouldn't work so hard.
Mom makes me clean my room
and pick up all my toys.
My dad hates to see me spanked,
but my mom sure don't mind.
She says it's good for me,
it will teach me wrong from right.
My Mom and Dad are friends,
They don't fight or anything.
The only time they disagree
is on what is good for me.

Couldnt you just squeeze that little boy to death? Hes a cutie now! Yep! He also looks like he already had a bath before he got in that 'wash' tub!
To: snugs
I BELIEVED THIS DAY WOULD COME!!!!!!!!
THIS IS WONDERFUL NEWS - THANK YOU!
May I also say...Are there any openings at the "Snugs Restaurant?" Wow! That is a nice menu!!!
Give Dad a HUGE hug from me for all he went through - how he NEVER gave up and how he gave his daughter the gift of life....more of it to spend with him.
You give YOURSELF a pat on the back, snugs...he couldn't have done it without you!!! You are a thoughtful, giving, and outstanding daughter.
Thank you again for this very bright spot in my day!!!!

Well, I loved the poem and I knew I would. It sorta reminds me of the good old days when I was raising mine! Back when mine were growing up, I guess the biggest problems hubby and I had were over the kids. Most of the time we agreed...BUT...there were those times. Now when I look back at things ‘we’ did and see the way the guys turned out, I think we must’ve done something right!
Hate you had to post it separately but I’m so glad you did!! I enjoy remembering. Every so often when we all get together, the guys will tell tales about what their dad or me did about certain circumstances. My oldest son has always said “I think Mama had ESP. She knew or found out everything I did.” Billie, I made it my business to know what they were doing and who they were doing it with. All we wanted was to get them going in the right direction for the life ahead.
Thanks again...see you later, I did get my nap! LOL!
