Sorry for the vanity, but I'm in serious need of some freeper advice here. I think I'm falling in love with a liberal. She's beautiful and has a big heart, but we have conflicting political ideologies. Does anyone have any tips for being in a relationship like that? Thanks FRiends...

Excellent point! If you were to marry this woman and have kids, how would you raise them? Would you want them to think abortion was okay? Would you want them to be indoctrinated into a liberal state of mind?
I have a friend who I am really good friends with. He used to be my best friend until we talked about politics one day and found out we have completely different views about politics. If a friendship is hard to maintain, I'm not sure about a relationship.

Is it love or lust? Go with the lust first and if the spark is still there in 9 1/2 weeks then see where you stand. If she hasnt show signs of awakening by then, run dont walk away. You may thank me/us for this someday. Otherwise you risk falling asleep next to the pod and waking up with your soul gone.
Liberal chicks are 100% better in bed than conservative chicks. They have a total lack of self-respect, they have no self-control, they are sick freaks that will do virtually anything with complete abandon. I recommend you enjoy yourself for a while, but prepare for the fallout. It won’t be pretty.
If she is a true lib, there will be trouble later. For example, moral issues, choices of friends, etc. Been there done that, never again.

Modest differences are one thing, but if you have a fundamentally different set of moral values (which if you’re a Conservative, you do, since liberals what they deem moral and ethical are something completely askew), you’re going to likely encounter serious problems in the long run. If you have children, it’ll be even worse with conflicting values. It’s not like the old days anymore. One or the other will have to convert. You have to ask yourself if it’s worth all the trouble. Me, personally, I couldn’t do it.

Seriously, If she’s open minded and can discus politics with facts instead of feelings, you’ve got a chance. If it’s in the news in your area, bringing up Charter Schools and vouchers that help poor kids (who are mostly minorities) vs. the NEA “no choice” stance may be a place to dip your toe in the water.
I am of the belief that knowing a person’s party affiliation says little about what is inside that person’s heart.

If men and women were about equal in their lefty\rightiness, pairing like to like would be fine. But given the disparities in the real world, such like-to-like pairings are going to leave a number of lonely conservative men and lonely liberal women. Neither a pretty picture.
So if a conservative guy actually falls for a liberal gal it’s almost his duty to go for it and help to balance out the rest of who’s left out there.
I beg to differ. I have had some...ah...experience to the contrary.
