Sorry for the vanity, but I'm in serious need of some freeper advice here. I think I'm falling in love with a liberal. She's beautiful and has a big heart, but we have conflicting political ideologies. Does anyone have any tips for being in a relationship like that? Thanks FRiends...

My thing is that I have to have respect for the man I am in love with. If the respect falters, so does the love. Fortunately, I married a wonderful man. He shares my faith in God, my patriotism, my conservatism, and is very honest. I still love and respect him after 25 years!
Liberals are hypocrites, by their very nature. Is this lady generous with her own money, or will she be generous with yours? Will her bleeding heart place demands on your time and money? That will grow old real fast!

Leave Rush on all day, every day in the background. Play it at very low volume while she sleeps. Make comments if she asks you do to things for her like “What are you, a democrat? Get it yourself”. Inject snide comments about how apathetic liberals are every possible moment- but never directly to her, always to a TV show or radio station.

Get used to the fact that her friends will hate you. My GF is a writer who had no conservative friends and holds a lot of the same positions that they do, but we can talk about them and be fully reasonable. She is stunned by the reaction of her friends to the fact that she is dating me.
I have a lot of fun on my Facebook page purposely throwing firebombs about the ONE and liberals in my status. One friend of hers actually told her (he's a journalist) that she was crazy for letting me anywhere near her kids LOL. The thing is we have simple reasoned discussions where she sees where I'm coming from. For some reason though she still just doesn't get why I am pro Sarah Palin LOL
She much more interested in staying with me than staying with her liberal friends...just enjoy it.
