"Heres what we know about the shows eighth, and perhaps final season. A year-and-a-half to two years will have elapsed since the end of Season 7, with the action moving from the White House to the U.N. building in New York City. Cherry Jones is back as President Allison Taylor. I dont think they know quite what to do with me yet, says Jones. At first I heard they needed me for only a couple episodes, but I do seem now to have a little bit more to do. Cherry says the new season will expand beyond an American threat to a global concern. It has to deal more with the state of the worldnot just the state of us, she says.
"Slumdog Millionaire" star Anil Kapoor plays the head of a foreign country, which enters into a peace agreement with President Taylor, but assassins plan to bring Kapoors character down before the treaty can be signed. Its a call back to the very first season when the very charismatic president David Palmer has to be saved for the greater good, teases executive producer Howard Gordon, who plans to shoot 7 to 10 days on the streets of New York City and construct U.N. sets in L.A. The eighth day is the culmination of all Jack has had to dogood bad and otherwise. When hes finally enlisted to help protect the peace, hes preserving something that is very personal to him.

It would be nice to have the conservatives take over an existing show - I'd love to have Sesame Street for a few years...
Imagine the possibilities...
Don’t worry. We can only hope that the beatdown of Janine by Chloe happens sometime in the finale.
So the article intimates that Jack is still alive for season 8. Easy to understand since after Jack saves Kim, he’ll let her save him.......
Store reconstruction continues.......
How about replacing Janine Garafolo with Miss California?
Jack Bauer will be beating the tar out of next season’s “terrorists” — people who attend Tea Parties.
Maybe Janis is revealed as the mole on tomorrow’s show and Chloe kills her!
One can see where this is going. Eevil conservatives plot to blow up the UN building during a major conference...
I’ve been hoping for that to happen since the first episode of the season.
We can eliminate Mooselimbs or leftists being the bad guys so I’m going w/either Military Industrial Complex or Rush Limbaugh.
This shark is doing tail stands.
Pray for America
I watch 24 commercial free on the web. All I get now is the embedded propaganda, not the add-on stuff. Who needs a TV?
How do you do that?
There are other sources as well. The latest episode shows up by the next day.
That’s great.....thanks!
The UN?? Uh-oh. I sure hope ‘24’ doesn’t try to clean up that cancer on the planet.
Forget about what?
This recent quote from Kiefer about season 8 had me concerned:
“I can tell you actually that it’s grounded in a political shift that’s taking place in the world that I actually think is probably the most realistic thing that we’ve ever done. It’s going to be kind of centered in one of the most realistic circumstances, because some of our stuff — let’s be fair — has been kind of farfetched. This one is actually really, I think, quite possible and so I think it’s going to be very interesting on that level. I’m excited about that.”
I don’t think 24 fans want to see this kind of stuff. The PC/leftist tilts to the terror threats have always been my least favorite part of the seasons. I’d say it’s happened in every season except 1, 3 and 4.
1. Season 2: Jack and friends proving that big bad oil tycoons had fabricated a recording to make it look like three innocent Middle Eastern Countries had been behind the bomb. Palmer’s cabinet invokes the 25th Amendment when Palmer wants more time to prove the authenticity of the recordings.
2. Season 5: The President of the United States himself supplied nerve gas to terrorists over OIL. Other big bad white “patriots” were involved including Walt Cummings, Christopher Henderson and Nathanson.
3. Season 6: innocent Middle Easterners are detained in a camp, Jack’s evil family are working with them.
4. Season 7: Starkwood, plus the big bad evil white guys shadow group framing an innocent middle Easterner.
I say kill them now......
Oh, I don't know. I can imagine how satisfying it would be to have Jack Bauer kick major butt in that hive of scum and villany. ;o)
Yeah, Olivia must die. She is doing a bad Sherry Palmer impression.
Substituting Garafalo for Chloe was just dumb...and the infomercials about global warming .... a slap in the face.
