WASHINGTON Under strong attack from Republicans, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused the CIA and Bush administration of misleading her about waterboarding detainees in the war on terror and sharply rebutted claims she was complicit in the method's use.
"We were told specifically that waterboarding was not being used," she told reporters, referring to a formal CIA briefing she received in the fall of 2002.
Pelosi said she subsequently learned that other lawmakers were told several months later by the CIA about the use of waterboarding.

Who’s lying? The democrats in congress or the democrats in the CIA?
I say we waterboard Pelosi to get the truth out of her.
This looks like a diversion though....
What's the worst that can happen...Pelosi get canned....That won't happen...She can lie until she's blue in the face....Unless under oath...means nothing.
DING!!! DING!!! DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!!
NO MORE CALL PLEASE!!!!
If she can be MISLED so easily then I would say she is not qualified for that job or any other with resposibilities.
“Oh, what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.” Pelosi dug her hole, and forgot (a senior moment) the first law of holes.
I am confused. She was told and she wasn’t told. She was briefed but not told or told but not briefed? Did Harmon brief her or tell Sheehy he told her he briefed her?
Did all those Bush attorneys brief Bush before Bush briefed the CIA to brief Pelosi who apparently was told but not briefed?
And what about the terrorist himself who was briefed that he was to be waterboarded but only briefly? He was apparently briefed about being waterboarded 183 times which apparently was the same amount of times Pelosi called Bush a criminal for legally waterboarding the terrorist briefly in the first place?
And now we know why those photos of torture were held back by Obama. He could not reconcile Pelosi’s brief statements about waterboarding with pictures of terrorists with Gucci thongs on their heads.
“She was told and she wasnt told. She was briefed but not told or told but not briefed?”
Sounds like a Jackie Mason skit.
The only correct thing she did in this whole scenaio was to approve the waterboarding as an effective way of extracting information from international mass murdering terrorists. She deserves credit for that and that where the credit ends.
