update on boy who was burned.
TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS:
many of you will remember i asked for prayer requests a few weeks back for two young boys in our community who were badly burned. nick and josh have had a rough time. we held a benefit to raise money for their medical expenses and were thrilled to get a total of $22,000. people have gone above and beyond to try and help these families. unfortunately, the one thing we cannot do is help josh recover. he was burned worse than nick and the situation has continued to deteriorate. today i got an e-mail update and the news is very bad. josh has been flat-lining and is now brain dead. if he flat-lines again they won't be able to do anything for him because he is so very fragile. please, dear freepers, pray for this young soul and his devastated family.

Don't mean to be an old scrooge on this thread, but having had a great deal of experience in these situations, trust me that there can be worse things than a quick and painless death.
Especially when burns are involved.
