Christian Symposium Offers Different Take on Aliens at Roswell UFO Festival

ROSWELL, New Mexico, May 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- Alien Resistance, a Christian counter-cult outreach ministry, will hold an all-Christian-speaker Symposium on aliens during the annual Roswell UFO Festival July 3-5th, 2009. The 11 participants include 4 PhDs, 2 doctorates of ministry, 2 pastors, 2 ordained ministers, and several pastoral counselors, with 12 books written between them on the UFO/Alien topic. The Symposium will educate on the UFO/alien topic from a Biblical Christian perspective, with emphasis on counter-cult evangelism, creationism, and spiritual warfare. The event is free for the public to attend, and will be held at the Best Western Sally Port Inn Ballroom. Tens of thousands of people interested in the UFO/Alien topic are expected to attend the Roswell UFO/Alien Festival this year.

Organizers assert that, "From a Biblical Christian perspective it becomes clear that 'aliens' are actually the evil spirits of the Bible. This idea is backed up experientially with the evidence of numerous testimonies of 'abductees', which show that 'alien abduction' experiences stop in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Also the sinful behaviors of the 'aliens' behind abductions, the false gospels and new age messages they proclaim, and their supernatural powers so very reminiscent of those described in the Bible as being had by angels, all adds up to make clear that 'aliens' are in fact the evil spirits of the Bible."

Participants will include: William Alnor Ph.D., author of "UFOs in the New Age" and "UFO Cults in the New Millennium"; Gary Bates, from Creation Ministries International Australia, author of "Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection"; Mike Bennett Ph.D., demonology researcher and host of "FutureQuake" Nashville-based Christian FM talk radio program; Pastor Russ Dizdar, Cult and Occult survivors specialist and deliverance minister; Joe Jordan O.M., alien abduction researcher and deliverance minister; Michael S. Heiser Ph.D., doctor in Hebrew Bible and Semitic Languages and author of "The Facade"; Guy Malone, author of "UFO Phenomena and the Bible"; Mrs. Malone, author of "A Modern Guide to Demons and Fallen Angels"; L.A. Marzulli D.Min., author of "Politics, Prophecy, and the Supernatural"; Pastor Chris Ward D.Min., deliverance minister and author of "Case Files of an Internet Exorcist"; and Stephen Yulish Ph.D., author of "The Real Story of UFOs."

You are simply and wholesale wrong about me and about my views on the topic.

If I ask for proof, are you merely going to repeat everything? Have you been designated by God and endowed with special interpretative powers to lead the way for all of us? I see no evidence to support that notion, either. Your interpretation of Bible text just doesn't wash with me. You are "reading in" what you demand I accept by stretching language and liberally adding between the lines.

Lately (regarding your comments about imminent disclosure by Obama), I have been pondering the following...

Rev 13:11

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev 13:12
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev 13:13
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast...

I understand your perspective. It’s not one I can share in the sense that the critters ARE tangible critters. They have bodies that can ‘materialize’ into our time/space dimension.

They can touch and be felt by our bodies as tangible. They hold tools and use tools with our bodies and other objects in our reality.

They demonstrate, show up in a variety of ‘races’ with a variety of skin, skull features, eyes, manners.

THEY HAVE BEEN AUTOPSIED. Interestingly, most do not seem to have a digestive tract. Many do not have teeth. Many have mere small holes instead of a nose. Many have very small mouths.

A number of races are indistinguishable from humans. One of the military’s most anxiety causing concerns is that some ET’s have managed to get into positions of high power as humans without humans realizing it.

Some very human looking races have minor differences regarding—I forget exactly what—eyes or Adam’s apple or some such.

Pairs of some ET’s have drug humans by their arms across a pasture to their ship. Most of the time, they seem able to levitate humans effortlessly.

Greys are evidently not very strong except for their technology and are quite afraid of humans violence against their bodies if the humans are not under effective mind and body control by the greys.

Very few cases have been reported wherein guns have managed to penetrate a force field or tough clothing around the ET’s. In those few cases, the guns have been very effective at damaging real BODIES.

The blood fluids in those autopsied have been green or some such—not red.

Many abductions have been halted in the middle of happening by someone remembering something from Sunday School long ago and saying: STOP IN THE NAME OF JESUS. One amazing such case . . . the husband lying next to his wife first notices something shimmering—part visible, part invisible—a bit beside and toward the foot of his bed [as best as I can recall]. Evidently having drowsed off to sleep again, he suddenly finds himself hoisted on some sort of stiff pole type devise up his butt a couple of feet off his bed. He quickly yells something like STOP IN THE NAME OF JESUS. The pole is withdrawn so instantly that he falls back to his bed waking his wife. The beings just as instantly disappeared from his room.

Standard spiritual warfare strategies, prayers are effective.

I have no statistics. I don’t know anyone who has, that has been willing to report them.

ALL the major researchers reported to Guy Malone on condition of confidentiality that they had cases in their files verifying that the Name and Blood of Jesus are effective in stopping and preventing abductions. NONE of them were willing to go on record about it.

Part of me would be happier leaving you in your construction on reality. However, the truth is more important than biases. We have to contend with the truth, not our own biases and imaginations.

No. Genesis is rather clear. Genesis and a good dictionary works quite well. Add in root word meanings and it’s clear enough.

True, it’s not a topic inherently critical to Salvation EXCEPT POTENTIALLY IN SOME END TIMES CONTEXTS. And that latter qualifier is why I make such an effort. There ARE some situations where knowledge of this could make the difference between eternal life and eternal death.

That’s not at all my perspective.

Perhaps it would be good for you to take 30 days and pray earnestly for God to show you if there’s anything in what I’ve written that HE would like you to understand differently FROM HIS perspective.

Yes.

OThuga and the oligarchy and the ET’s behind him could become . . . horrifically potent for evil quite beyond the devastations he’s already exacted on our land and world.

Thankfully, God’s Word and Spirit are far more potent—for those WHO KNOW GOD; KNOW HIS WORD AND KNOW HOW TO WALK IN HIS SPIRIT.

I don’t see any interpreting of The Bible in my narrative. My understanding comes straight out of the text.

The text is taken straightforwardly at face value.

Gen 6:4; Num 13:33;

Now Guy Malone and his panel of professionals in the languages etc. have expanded on the basic truths of the existence of the Nephilium and discussed Enoch’s and other authors’ descriptions of them and their doings. They have solid reasons for their assertions. You certainly may ignore them and disagree with them. I wouldn’t consider that wisdom, given what I’ve studied.

My best impression at this point is that your refusal to seemingly fairly consider the evidence has far less to do with the Bible, the language, or even the facts and issues than it has to do with your psychology.

Practicing without a license or training, or even a personal visit, Quix?

Now Guy Malone and his panel of professionals in the languages etc. have expanded on the basic truths...

Show me the "Rosetta Stone" that equates ETs with Nephilium, or even Satan. There is a "leap of faith" required in order to interpret Scripture thusly.

I don’t think it requires the training I’ve had, nor a face to face, to notice your seeming . . . resistance to look at the issues fairly.

A leap of faith?

I suppose you are right in this sense . . .

Given that Scripture does not explicitly state that “ET’s” in the future END TIMES era are 100% equal to the Nephilium in Genesis . . .

reaching that conclusion IS a process of study, analysis and conclusion, inference.

However, it is a much more straight-forward process with much more obvious and logical inferences and connections than you make it sound.

And, no other explanation even begins to account for near so many data points as that explanation does.

You have not read nor heard the evidence. Yet, you make assertions that are all inclusive and adamant. I don’t find that reasonable nor factually reality based. I find THAT more an issue of bias, faith in one’s biases and stubborn rootedness in one’s psychological bent.

This is patently untrue. I've probably seen eveything you've seen, I've just come to other conclusions.

Well, not really qualified then. Just like with being the ultimate interpreter of Scripture. No qualificatons there, either.

I’m happy to be wrong about your viewing significant portions of the evidence.

How many of Guy Malone’s DVD’s have you watched?

You are WRONG.

My high quality PhD in Clinical Psychology was well earned.

Someone recently gave me a thank you card . . . “ . . . I’ve had a lot of counseling sessions [and different counselors], shipped off to [residential treatment] . . . and no one has had the compassion, dedication as you do.”

Thankfully, such comments have been typical from my PhD program internships to now. Shoot, even a survey participant in my dissertation research declared that my questionnaire packet was more thorough than their 11 years of psychoanalysis! LOL.

However, if it helps you feel more comfortable, you are welcome to think what you will of my training and skills.

I certainly have made no claims about being any “ultimate” interpreter of Scripture. You are WRONG about that, too.

WRONG again.

I doubt there’s much I haven’t considered as a possibility.

I really do prefer for the data to drive the conclusions. It’s been my bent all my professional life—and really before university, as well.

Is it common among shrinks to assume that opinions that differ from your own can only be due to lack of intelligence, study, or mental aberrations on the part of your opponent?

OK, the gloves are off. The reason I have no faith in either your or Guy Malone's Scriptural abilities is based upon the following: A thorough search of Scripture reveals that Jesus uttered one and only one formal command to his disciples:

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost...Matthew 28:19

All of time you guys are spending is in direct violation of that command. You are wrangling with what you perceive as symptoms of evil, rather than making the effort to seed the Holy Spirit so that Christ Himself can protect those individuals from evil. Souls are being lost to Christ on a daily basis, while folks like you are arguing the equivalent of "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?".

Girded with Christ, evil cannot claim an individual. Your opinions aren't going to help anyone against evil, for all you are serving is the identification of a perceived evil. If you truly care to protect people from this, then spend your time and energies bring Christ into people's lives. Christ can identify and defend against evil with total accuracy and affect. You can do neither.

Evidently, you have no clue how much time I spend bringing Christ into people’s lives, discipling etc.

And, you seem to have no clue how useful END TIMES PROPHECIES and even the UFO stuff is in such efforts.

I have no faith that I can say anything to alter your constructions on MY realities.

I’m glad you know Jesus. Praise God for your efforts to hook people up with Him.

I’m sorry you have no respect for my similar efforts. At some point, Jesus may say . . . “what is that to you, follow me.”
