You are WRONG.
My high quality PhD in Clinical Psychology was well earned.
Someone recently gave me a thank you card . . . “ . . . I’ve had a lot of counseling sessions [and different counselors], shipped off to [residential treatment] . . . and no one has had the compassion, dedication as you do.”
Thankfully, such comments have been typical from my PhD program internships to now. Shoot, even a survey participant in my dissertation research declared that my questionnaire packet was more thorough than their 11 years of psychoanalysis! LOL.
However, if it helps you feel more comfortable, you are welcome to think what you will of my training and skills.
I certainly have made no claims about being any “ultimate” interpreter of Scripture. You are WRONG about that, too.
Is it common among shrinks to assume that opinions that differ from your own can only be due to lack of intelligence, study, or mental aberrations on the part of your opponent?
OK, the gloves are off. The reason I have no faith in either your or Guy Malone's Scriptural abilities is based upon the following: A thorough search of Scripture reveals that Jesus uttered one and only one formal command to his disciples:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost...Matthew 28:19
All of time you guys are spending is in direct violation of that command. You are wrangling with what you perceive as symptoms of evil, rather than making the effort to seed the Holy Spirit so that Christ Himself can protect those individuals from evil. Souls are being lost to Christ on a daily basis, while folks like you are arguing the equivalent of "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?".
Girded with Christ, evil cannot claim an individual. Your opinions aren't going to help anyone against evil, for all you are serving is the identification of a perceived evil. If you truly care to protect people from this, then spend your time and energies bring Christ into people's lives. Christ can identify and defend against evil with total accuracy and affect. You can do neither.
A desperation call to the Cavalry?
