Palaeontologists found 40 strands of fossilised hair inside samples of coprolite, or fossilised dung, from a cave in South Africa that was used by brown hyaenas.
Until now the oldest samples of human hair were from a 9,000 year old mummy found in northern Chile. It is extremely rare for soft tissue such as hair, skin and muscle to survive more than a few hundred years and only hard tissue like bone is fossilised normally.
But scientists believe the new samples of hair are the remains of an early species of human that was scavenged by hyaenas after death, allowing the delicate hairs to be preserved inside the dung as it fossilised.

He was dead already. Already had a bad day.
GEEZ! something tells me thats going to be the new gold standard for helen thomas pictures on FR.
Well, she’s definitely got dung for brains...
“Actually, in order for one object to be circling another, you have to assume that one is in a fixed position. Since modern science tells us that both the earth and the sun are in motion, its just as logical to say the sun is revolving around the earth as vice versa. Just sayin...”
So therefore using your critical method of logic, the earth circles the moon. Just sayin...
But my MAIN point was that Galileo went against the prevailing religious take on the matter, and wound up under house arrest.
Galileo is considered the father of modern science. He was correct about the solar system, and the religious people were wrong.
Greatly appreciated ping!
You just never know where Helen’s going to show up next!
LOLOLOL!!!
I believe, but my memory isn't what it used to be, they have found hippo bones in the highlands somewhere in Great Britain. I ,too, am interested in how all these things came about and neither depend on science or religion to form any solid opinions. I don't know if that is a good thing or not, but it is the way I am:)
I am sorry, have to disagree with that. Even though they are both in motion the earth is in an orbit around the sun, the sun is not in orbit around the earth, if it were our seasons would be totally fubar. So, while the sum may move from x to y in a given time period the earth moves the same distance in the same direction and thus the effects are the same as if the sun and the earth were stationary.
This is not a guess or an opinion but fact.
"It's Always In The Last Place You Look" PING
Water wells down flow from septic systems contain human protein also.
I repeat, the earth circles the sun, the sun does NOT circle the earth, if it did our seasons would not be as they are. End of story.

Will Bush be blamed for this?
There are many other dating methods than just carbon 14.
I'm among the most devout Christians you will ever meet and I am fine with how God created the universe and the wonderful intellect he gave mankind that allows us to discover and understand His work. The history of Creation for me is one of it's most fascinating beauties.
Run maternal and Y DNA on it. Blam and I might match and be entitled to reparations from the South African government. I want mine in 1 oz Krugerrands, if you please.
Notice the “as if”. LOL. Kinda like saying someone is “as if” is she were pregnant.
No, silly. The point is that the whole “scientist” worldview is that scientists determine “facts” that exist regardless of whether, or how, they are observed by human beings ... but lo and behold, the supposed “fact” that the earth revolves around the sun is made problematic by the equal fact that both bodies are in motion, so now the scientist must say it is “as if” the earth revolves around the sun. Big difference. If the scientist is going to throw in “as ifs”, I might as well base my view on my perception, that looking up into the sky for a whole day, it is “as if” the sun revolves around the earth.
