Thanks, jaycee - like Mama-Bear, I’m also out of bananas (ate the last one for breakfast this morning) so that will be on my grocery list today as well!

Boys tend to play more with their food.

Once I found an unusual looking twig on the floor of a small workshop in the cellar. I picked it up for closer examination, twirled it in my hand for a 360º view and then went, “Euwww!”

It was a mouse tail. Never found the rest.

Ahhh, This is beautiful, Billie.
Thank you for today's Beautiful Opener.
The background is perfect with those bright, vivid colors.

Thank you for all you do.

Pretty much how the missus found the tail, but she found the foot after that and yelled “Mimi!”
Of course, the cat came running because she thought there was another mouse loose.

First time I saw a flying squirrel it was a baby that fell out of a tree and landed at my feet. I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched it climb back up the tree. I had to go home and look it up and confirm that they are around here.

They’re wicked nocturnal, adorable, and apparently not too stupid. I’ve only seen the one baby and our home visitor, a ‘fledgling.’

I had 3 cats watching him fly around the house with a WTFIT look on their faces.

Darn it, when I have bananas, it seems I always let one or two get over-ripe! I know they’re good for banana bread but sometimes I’m not in the mood to make it!

Thank you, MamaBear.
Today's graphic made me hungry for bananas.
After my perm this afternoon, I need to stop at the market and get some.

Hope you are having a Marvelous Monday and are looking forward to a Fantastic Week.

“Mommy! Get the strange flapping mouse away from me!” -the missus cat Tristan upon seeing a bat outside the window.

If I have a great May will you promise to hae one, too?

The month has begun busy, a good thing in medium doses.

Did you ever raise a kitten and watch it eat questionable insects? And then one day it eats something that bites back and from then on he looks at bugs more analytically?

The cats had a combo of that look plus the appearance of doubting their sanity as they followed the flying squirrel through most of the rooms.

So Far, So Good.

I know it is only the 4th but this month has started perfectly.

We got some much needed rain Friday night; the only disappointment was not being able to Rally for our Military. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer weekend.

"Bananas and tarantulas go together".

Well, that is an old wive's tale.

Tarantulas seem to be the only arachnid with a docile and gentle disposition.
Last year, every night, as I sat on the front porch after dinner dishes were done,
A tarantula would walk up my walkway, and stop right at the step, looking up at me.
I have even stopped traffic, while a tarantula crossed the main street near my home.
I know - sounds silly - but it's true.

I am terrified of any other spider, especially the brown recluse.
