Lovely opening, Amy! Sweet little critters...aren’t they? And the little cat poem fits very well! Cats are calming, thats special about them.
Very nice, L. J.! Hope you are having a nice Saturday. I have a lot I would like to post but I am going back outside when I get something in my tummy!
LOL! Sounds like Dolly’s animals....all they live for is “stick” as she calls it. She will like that graphic. LOL!
Very meaningful writing, L. J. There is no dog “just a dog”, is there?
All that cat needs is lots of love and food. Don’t you agree?
There are people who treat animals bad.....and I even hate to think of it....!
That Mastiff is young. Ended up winning some record of being the “world's largest.”
A friend has two Mastiffs and they are wonderful dogs.
They “Live for Stick” - that’s cute.
There has never been a “just a dog” and when we give other animals the chance, there’s no thing as “just an animal.”
They have souls therefore they glow.
If there hadn’t been a Hank, Sr. we wouldn’t have the wonderful country music we have today. My husband loved Hank Williams a long time ago. I will have to say “My Bucket’s got a hole in it” would never be a favorite song of mine....LOL! Some of his others are better if you like that older country!
When Dolly first started using that word in almost every post of her dogs, I just thought it was so cute. I have seen her pictures and one of her dogs would have a stick in its mouth as big as a tree limb.....they would’ve played ‘stick’ all day.
I don't know, JC. He sure needs something.......
But, some animals look mad, when they aren't.
Take the eagle for instance - it always looks mad - but it's not.
My Silky used to pick up logs for me to throw and I swear they weighed more than she did. I miss her happy eyes and smile.
****I’ve had it for two years and haven’t found out who authored it.****
LJ, I’m pretty sure it was written by Richard A. Biby. (See following links)

She is adorable Yorkie. Did I read somewhere here on FR that you breed Yorkies?
A gal at work brings hers to work on Fridays, and it is so cute that I have to restrain myself from hugging it, but it’s a little stand offish, so I might get an unwelcome response.
They are on my list of breeds to own one-of sometime. I’m owned by Cavalier KC Spaniels now. I do rescue.
Thanks for the reply. She is a sweetie!
OHhhhhhhhhhhh Amy! That pic is wonderful. Content and color! It’s a feast.
Thanks!!!
I’ll add Richard A. Biby to the poem.
(Shhhhhhhhhhh..........don’t tell anybody - but she finds a graphic, and then “produces” the most beautiful frame for it!)
Meg33, jaycee, mamabear, luv w and Billie do too, I’m pretty sure! (Me? I’m lucky to figure out how to post a picture.)
No, I don’t breed yorkies, sorry to say. I couldn’t do it - as I would never be able to let any of the puppies go to new owners. I would want to keep them ALL!
Actually, I had a yorkie-poo for sixteen years - and it was the smartest dog I ever had. I used to ask her, “Would you rather be a Democrat - or DEAD?” And, she would roll over on her back, close her eyes and let her tongue hang out. You couldn’t even see her breathe. LOL!
