Me too! I love strawberry shortcake. We have a strawberry farm located somewhere close to our area and they set up a stand over on the parkway several times during the season. I just noticed this week, they have their place set up and I need to stop and get some soon! They are called Scott’s strawberries and they’re the best!
Many people get lots of strawberries and freeze them. I just don’t have space for many! When my big freezer went out, I decided not to replace it with just me here.

What a precious 'legend' I woke up to this morning. I read every word and loved it, L.J.! Do you have those little chipmunks where you live? I have always thought they are the cutest little animals. They will sit under my bird feeders and I can see them from my kitchen window. But if one peep is made, they scurry away @ 100 mi.per hour!
I know this is silly but one year, a little chipmunk kept coming down to the little brick wall at the back of my patio. Well, I got 2 little jar lids and put seed in one and water in the other and the little booger would eat and drink from those and I could peek out my back door window and watch. My husband and I named it Brad, don't ask me why Brad, we just did!
Hubby also fed the squirrels peanuts in a shell from his hand. I don't do that...they will come pretty close to me but I throw them just about 3 feet from me and they get them and get into the 'praying position' and crack them out and eat them.

Dolly, that is so, so funny! I did laugh out loud. But I am going to admit....that is not me! I learned after a couple of times to be ready. Its because I can't stand to sit there in my car for long. (I did have to learn this after a few times at the window). After all they have a crazy camera watching every move....LOL!
I will tell you this...the other evening evidently there was something wrong with the machine I go to and it upset me. Why? Because just the night before I heard that terrible story about 'crooks' jamming the machines and they won't work and then they either know your information or they 'un-jam' the machine and get the money you were trying to get. Wish I had listened to the story more closely.
Well I came home and called my bank (it was after closing hours or I would have went into the bank.) Anyway, the guy on the phone had me hold on and he came back and said "I see we have some trouble with the machine in that location at the moment." (Well, duh?) I am glad I didn't need money urgently! I guess stories I hear make me paranoid sometimes. LOL!

Is He Enough?
Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. Acts 3:6
Is Jesus enough? Thats a question many Christians need to ask themselves. They have abundant material possessions. But do these believers depend on Jesus? Or on their stuff?
While having wealth is not condemned in Scripture as long as priorities are in order and the needs of others are addressed, those of us with relative wealth must remind ourselves that Jesusnot richessustains us.
The apostle Peter helps us with this in the story of the lame man begging at the temple gate in Jerusalem. This man asked Peter for money, but Peter replied, Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk (Acts 3:6).
The man lying at the gate thought the answer to his problems that day was money, but Peter showed him that the answer was Jesus. And He still is.
I read about a group of Chinese Christians who have much to teach us as they seek to spread the gospel in their homeland and beyond. These believers say, We cant afford any big programs or fancy gospel presentations. All we have to give people is Jesus.
Jesus is enough for our brothers and sisters in China. He is enough for the poor. Is He enough for you?
You may have much gold and grandeur,
Yet by God be reckoned poor;
He alone has riches truly
Who has Christ, though nothing more. Anon.

Mr. Mayor, this is such a beautiful story this morning. The media doesn't talk much about Chinese Christians, do they?
Thank you for our Daily Bread each day! May God Bless You!

No they don’t. A couple very good friends came over here from China. They are the most dedicated Christians I know, their daughters are so special and sweet because of their upbringing.
Have a great day!
