The tested stalagmite formed in a collapsed part of the tunnel, which means that the age of the tunnel is far older than the stalagmite.
The Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation reported that there is an underground network of a dozen tunnels under the pyramid in Visoko, Bosnia Herzegovina.
A few hundred meters of tunnels lead towards the Bosnian pyramid. The tunnel has been cleared for tourists, and stalagmites and stalactites have been found in the side passages, from which samples have been taken for analysis in one of the leading laboratories in Poland, at the institute for physics.
The stalagmite formed in a collapsed part of the tunnel, which means that the age of the tunnel is much older than the sage of the stalagmite, write the Bosnian media.
Professor dr. Anna Pazdur signed the Polish laboratory report, and stresses that the age of the stalagmite is 5080 years (+/- 75 years). This means that the tunnel complex predates other cultures on Bosnian soil from the past: the middle ages Bosnian state (800 years), ancient Rome (2000 years), ancient Greece (2500 years), the Iliric tribes (2800 years) and the Butmir culture (4600 years).
The age of five thousand years is the minimal age of the tunnel: the date the complex was made has yet to be determined. The foundation is continuing with a multidisciplinary approach to processing the archaeological finding.
Under the Sun ping.
Nothing new under the Sun.
Verrrry Interestinnnnnng!
hmmmm
Isn’t Joshua’s watertunnel under Megiddo only 3,000 years old?
It's funny how people like to build up and tunnel down.
Dunno.
Now, are these "tunnels" manmade or natural?
I guess I'd look for flat floors. I always thought it funny that Hollywood caves/tunnels would have flat floors when they were supposedly natural formations.
Mammoth Cave (which is really huge) has miles of naturally flat floors. It also has even more miles of bumpy floors. I always assumed the guys who designed Hollywood caves had never visited anything but Mammoth.
Hmm...do you know why? All I can think is that they must be the remains of a liquid substance.
Most of the public area of Mammoth Cave is quite boring ~

Thanks decimon. This is good for some laughs of course, but the "pyramids" are just natural hills which have been altered here and there to appear artificial and create a tourist attraction. |

And the tunnels?
There are old (and I do mean OLD) subway tunnels near Mount Shasta, in the Lava Beds.
They are so old, somebody done stole the tracks and wiring long before the Indians found them....
To match their flat heads.
They’re caves.
"They're caves, Jim."
Okay, but I'm not giving up on this. Mostly because I'm a ____.
well, doh! The mammoths trampled them flat going in and out of their cave.
