Thanks. That google map can hardly keep up with all the reports - it changes often. Just overnight, potential cases popped up in Denmark, England and Italy, and more cases were confirmed in various places in the US and abroad.

I do not remember where I read it (I have read too much already!), but it said tomorrow, Tuesday, might be the outbreak of too-numerous-to-count cases. Isn’t it amazing how this coincided with Spring Break when so many people travel to Mexico, even though swine flu in swine is usually in autumn.

In spite of not being up to date, your map implementation is a good piece of technical work. It's hard to build something to keeps up with the scale of inputs that will be coming shortly.

Isn’t it amazing how this coincided with Spring Break when so many people travel to Mexico, even though swine flu in swine is usually in autumn.

The presence of a new strain of flu this late in the season was a surprise. Having it in Mexico in time for Spring break was probably not a coincidence...if it is an engineered bioweapon. Mexico is a good target if you're intending to turn something loose within a large population that is medically and economically unprepared to respond.
