Your site on post 2 looks real good, from what I can gather it is a medical group? Anyway, they talked a bit about it seeming to begin, cluster in a town by the name of La Gloria, Veracruz highlands, Mexico.
A quick search gave me “La Gloria accounts for more than 75% of the drug related murders in Mexico”.
Hmmm. Drug Cartels, money, basic science labs, terrorists.... (Hey - is my tin foil hat grounded??!!)
Others have noted the same, its on the 2nd link. Tangos get an engineered visrus strain, infect a dozen hookers, and turn them loose in La Gloria.
Looks possible.The virus has an unusual genetic signature and looks engineered, doesn’t look naturally evolved.. That has Homeland Security wringing its hands when they shoould be doing something.Like Smacking people into quarantine, which is politically unacceptable.
It looks like a virus designed to mutate into soomething really horrible, but we will have to see.

could evolve onto a real monster.

Here is a nice map that someone put together that is updated often. Shows reports of confirmed cases with blue pins, and potential cases with pink pins. Also maintains a list of pinned places with some minimal details. Sad to say, he probably won’t be able to keep up soon. Zoom out to see the world map - it is eye opening to see the rapid global spread.

Can someone explain why they are calling this swine flu, when AP news last Friday said the strain had traits of swine, bird, and human viruses and that the WHO or CDC said they hadn’t seen this combination before?
Thanks for the ping! Many of us have been speculating this is the case since the earliest threads.
Such would give them the power to starve entire regions should they see fit, and would effectively prevent any mass demonstrations of disaproval of administration policy, especially in D.C. and environs.
Thanks. That google map can hardly keep up with all the reports - it changes often. Just overnight, potential cases popped up in Denmark, England and Italy, and more cases were confirmed in various places in the US and abroad.
I do not remember where I read it (I have read too much already!), but it said tomorrow, Tuesday, might be the outbreak of too-numerous-to-count cases. Isn’t it amazing how this coincided with Spring Break when so many people travel to Mexico, even though swine flu in swine is usually in autumn.

The presence of a new strain of flu this late in the season was a surprise. Having it in Mexico in time for Spring break was probably not a coincidence...if it is an engineered bioweapon. Mexico is a good target if you're intending to turn something loose within a large population that is medically and economically unprepared to respond.
