INDIANAPOLIS (Map, News) - Police in Indianapolis say a 69-year-old man is the second person to die of injuries suffered in a sword fight with a younger relative.
Authorities say Adolf Stegbauer died Monday, four days after an argument escalated into the fight with 39-year-old Christopher Rondeau.
Police said Stegbauer's death had been ruled a homicide.
Stegbauer's 77-year-old sister-in-law, Franziska, was fatally stabbed while trying to break up the fight.

Let’s see. To be an assault sword, would it need to have a bayonet lug?

In that line thought, would a satin finish on the blade qualify as a flash supressor?

An assault sword would be a small foldable sword.
i.e. a pocket knife
To create assault sword laws comparable to assault rifle laws, full sized full power swords are legal. Folding pocket knives are illegal. Just like full sized full power 30-06 rifles are legal, but select 223 caliber collapsable rifles are not legal.
A switchblade knife would be comparable to a submachinegun.

"Stegbauer and Rondeau, eh? So, whats the consensus - Long-standing cultural grievances, wine vs. beer or Limberger vs. Camembert?" Sounds like your typical Alsace-Lorraine dispute to me.

Lets see. To be an assault sword, would it need to have a bayonet lug? A sword with a bayonet?
That's a whole new level of coolness!
