Of course he’s still remembered.
They’re still trying to get the stains out of the carpet!

I have to wonder if someone who says "Pearl Jam has always sucked" has ever listened to Ten or Vs. It might not be your cup of tea, but it definitely isn't bad music.

Forget these haters, you know they probably spend their free time listening to Captain and Tennille’s Greatest Hits.

I actually own a copy of "Ten". It has a few good songs on it, but all of the subsequent music they put out, and I mean ALL OF IT was so horribly bad that it convinced me that Pearl Jam simply got lucky with that album. I can't even stand to listen to "Ten" anymore because it conjures up the memories of the later "music".

“Its a shame the guy killed himself, not least because it left his daughter in the care of that whacked-out skank wife of his, but Ive never understood the Cobain-worship some people engage in.”
The late 60’s had Jim Morrison. Not as black and extreme as Kurt, but insane for the times.
Hard to understand what is it about these musicians that make ppl look up to their majorly messed up persona.

I’ll never forget learning about that. Such a shock! Of course Courtney Love’s drunk rambling kind of brought me out of my stupor and I went “Yeah, he had some issues obviously. But poor Francis Bean!”

Never paid much attention to Nirvana until he died. The guy was both incredibly talented and disturbed.
I really think he lived that stuff he wrote about and the guilt drove him mad. “Rape Me”? Chilling in a way, but a good tune.

Thank you.
I have a pretty eclectic musical taste. I dare say it would be anathema to some Freepers to listen to some of the music I do.
I don’t let ‘em bug me! :)

Foo Fighters is a much better band and music IMO.

Hard to understand what is it about these musicians that make ppl look up to their majorly messed up persona. What's especially twisted is how the moment a musician offs him/herself, their stock goes through the roof. There's definitely a suicidal rock-star mystique thing that people just dig.
People are kinda f***ed.

I remember someone once saying that if you walk in and your lawyer is meeting with your agent, your accountants and handlers, you’re done.

What's especially twisted is how the moment a musician offs him/herself, their stock goes through the roof. Supposedly, Cobain's mom said he was always talking about joining Hendrix and Morrison earlier than God intended. Then he did!

Forget the fact that you own a copy of Ten, since copies of Ten were issued at birth to everyone born after 1971. Are you telling me that you’ve actually listened to Vs. from beginning to end and believe it’s bad music?
What’s your idea of good music, Five For Fighting?
