Very sweet opening today, ladies. Reminded me of the old song “Too Young”. I believe Nat King Cole sang it many years ago. Remember “They tried to tell us we’re too young” “Too young to really be in love.” and on and on!
I will be away today, will see you ‘whenever”. Have a good day, everybody!
Thank you, Amy! I love yellow roses, and especially when they are presented with such sweet words and (ahem) matching frame!
Saturday was fun - we all knew you were having a wonderful weekend by the water. (And we missed you!)
It was a dirty trick, saying it was coming from “Windows”.
I had my “geek boy” come over - and he removed it. He is a young kid in his early 30’s and is an absolute genius on the computer. (I told him I would ‘mawwy’ him if he were a ‘hunnert’ years older! LOL)
He said it was killing him to keep up with the calls - all for the same virus. He said his phone was literally ringing off the hook, with every call reporting the same bug.
(IIRC, the guys that put the virus together, ended up making over a million dollars, from people who actually PAID to get it removed online.)
Lovely opening ladies. (Great team-work!)
If I close my eyes, and go waaaaaaaaay back in my memory, I kinda get a quick, fleeting glimpse of that first ‘young love’. (Then, I am so worn out, I need a nap!)
THE PRICE OF SPRING
April mixes joy with sorrow,
Sun today with snow tomorrow,
Carefree songs with sad concerns,
And Easter eggs with tax returns.
- D.A.W.
On a Saturday afternoon, in Washington, D. C., House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s aide visited the Cardinal of the Catholic cathedral.
He told the Cardinal that Nancy Pelosi would be attending the next day's sermon, and he asked if the Cardinal would kindly point out Pelosi to the congregation and say a few words that would include calling Pelosi a saint.
The Cardinal replied, “No. I don't really like the woman, and there are issues of conflict with the Catholic Church over certain of Pelosi’s views.” Pelosi’s aide then said, “Look. I'll write a check here and now for a donation of $100,000 to your church if you'll just tell the congregation you see Pelosi as a saint.”
The Cardinal thought about it and said, “Well, the church can use the money, so I'll work your request into tomorrow's sermon.” As Pelosi’s aide promised, House Speaker Pelosi appeared for the Sunday sermon and seated herself prominently at the edge of the main aisle.
And, during the sermon, as promised, the Cardinal pointed out that House Speaker Pelosi was present.
Then the Cardinal went on to explain to the congregation — “While Speaker Pelosi’s presence is probably an honor to some, she is not my favorite person. Some of her views are contrary to those of the church, and she tends to flip-flop on many other views. Nancy Pelosi is a petty, self-absorbed hypocrite, a thumb sucker, and a nit-wit. Nancy Pelosi is also a serial liar, a cheat, and a thief.
Nancy Pelosi is the worst example of a Catholic I have ever personally witnessed.
She married for money and is using it to lie to the American people. She also has a reputation for shirking her Representative obligations both in Washington, and in California. She simply is not to be trusted.”
The Cardinal completed his view of Pelosi with, “But, when compared to Senators Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, and John Kerry, House Speaker Pelosi is a saint.”
Thank you, Yorkie.
We enjoy your favorite poems and the graphics you post with them.
Thank you, Jaycee.
God Bless and Protect our Military today and everyday!
Thanks, Jaycee.
Carefully write that memory down and then take a nap. See if you dream something nice.
You are doing great with the frames, Jaycee. Very pretty.
That’s what makes me HUGELY grateful!
Thank you for the comments and the applauding penguins, Yorkie.

ROFLOL!
18,000?
WOW ... we will never be able to find anyone we know. Do you really think that is possible? I haven’t heard from our regulars, have you?
I’m sorry to hear that you are still having neck problems. Have you seen doctor again. It doesn’t seem that the Valium is helping.
We loved the coast but came home to a boat load of problems. It started with no water on Tuesday afternoon. We had to call the pump repair people. Not sure what that is going to cost us.
I lost all DSL connection later Tuesday. I spent Wednesday talking to AT & T Tech Support. They were suppost to come out next Monday afternoon (first available time slot) to check the wiring and the modem. The modem starting responding with no help from me or the techies. But I had to call AT&T again for help in getting it configured. It acted like I had installed a new modem. I hope it doesn’t start acting up again.
FRiendAnn will be by later this morning; we are having lunch with a friend from hi school. Marissa loves these lady day lunches.
Take care of yourself.
See you next week.
Oh, how funny....love it, Amy! LOL~~~!
