Thank you so much. One joy that is ahead for one of my cousins, his wife is expecting their second daughter in about 2 weeks. That little angel will help heal their hearts.

I Will Never Leave You
I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20
One of my earliest memories of hearing good music was when a male quartet rehearsed at our home. I was about 10 years old, and I was especially attentive to my dad, who sang first tenor. One of the quartets favorites was titled, I Am With You. Even at that tender age, I not only appreciated the music but I got the message.
Those words of Jesus to His disciples just before He ascendedI am with you alwaysbecame precious to me as the quartet sang, In the sunlight, in the shadow, I am with you where you go.
One of the first references to Gods unfailing presence was spoken by Moses in Deuteronomy 31:6-8, when he instructed his successor about leading Gods people into the land of promise. And Joshua himself heard the same word from the Lord, As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you (Josh. 1:5).
That promise is repeated in the New Testament, where the writer of Hebrews gave this assurance: He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you (13:5).
Wherever you may be today, you are not alone. If youve placed your trust in Jesus for your eternal salvation, you can be certain that He will never leave you.
Jesus whispers I am with you
In the hour of deepest need;
When the way is dark and lonesome,
I am with you, I will lead. Morris

Good Morning Mayor and thank you! What a WONDERFUL Promise that God will never forsake us!
I couldn’t help but remember as I read this, that one of my first memories as a child was listening to a quartet rehearse in our living room. The quartet included my only brother, the tenor, who was a part of the Simpson Bible Institute,* now College *...men’s quartet. I can still “ hear” them singing “ Free Grace, Free Grace, Free Grace”!
What a memory that opened up this early morning!

I love the church hymns, I think that is why I don’t like these new mega churches. I like a small congregation like I am in now with less than a hundred people. The singing is always great. I used to sing in a choir and lead the church in song, but left that church for this one.

They are as rare nowadays as a mom/pop market!

Your words were so wonderful, even though sad. I was so inspired by the whole message. It truly touched my heart and soul this morning and some tears fell down! Thank you for sharing this with us as it can touch many people. My prayers will be with each one. I pray that all will find Peace and Happiness along the road of recovery!

Congratulations on your new puppy. German Shepherds are beautiful dogs. We’ve always had German Shepherds. Now, in addition to Millie (our shepherd), we have Max, a yellow lab. Completely different personalities. Max is a big ol teddy bear while Millie is the protector.
Wishing you a lovely Thursday.

Good morning! Love the opening graphic and the song....it's one of my all-time favorites!
Have a great day, everyone. I will be preoccupied in next several weeks helping to organize a huge 4th of July Freedom Rally (a spin-off from our hugely successful April 15th Tea Party) in the Central Valley. We are projecting 20 to 25 thousand people will be attending! We will be having this event at our Ag Center, here in our little humble town, where we can accommodate the traffic and crowds. This is exciting!! We will be bringing in bands and speakers and will be holding a Freedom March on the frontage road along highway 99. This is going to be huge!
FreeRepublic will have a booth at the Rally so that current FReepers can meet up and interested prospective FReepers can learn more about our website.
