Thank you, Kitty. One more day (May 18th) and then our lives should get back to normal.

Thank you for your prayers. We really appreciate them.

Hugs

I had to reply to this....so cute, telling the lady her favorite veggie was broccoli! But I will tell you this. When my oldest son was a little boy, my mother was fixing the broccoli spears and my son loved them. He would ask me if Ma-ma was fixing ‘trees’. He thought those whole spears looked like trees. He has continued to love broccoli. And I continue missing my Mama too, especially when I think of those memories. Good memories though!

Billie, I don’t think I’ve seen a lovelier rose. And if I may say so, the frame matches so perfectly! Thanks! And I did read the lovely poem you provided with it. You did good...LOL! Have places to go today but I wanted to post a couple of things before I get ready to run!

Thank you, sweet friend! Have a wonderful day.

"The rose is a flower of love.
The world has acclaimed it for centuries.
Pink roses are for love
hopeful and expectant.
White roses are for love dead
or forsaken, but the
red roses, ah the red roses
are for love triumphant."

So pretty! That photo is so similar to the hot pink one I used in the opening - the solid black background and those many huge water droplets!

I've pinged you several times, but I overlooked this beautiful poem! The words are truly meaningful....seems I have read this. Could have been in my searches as I do that a lot. Anyway, I enjoyed it!

"Some people are always grumbling
because roses have thorns;
I am thankful that
thorns have roses."

You may have seen this but it’s worth seeing again!

THE SNEEZE

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing .. and the traditional caps, they looked almost .. as grown up as they felt.

Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.

This class would NOT pray during the commencements——not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.

The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.

The speeches were nice, but they were routine.....until the final speech received a standing ovation.

A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.

All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!!

The student on stage.. simply looked at the audience and said,

‘GOD BLESS YOU, each and every one of you!’ And he walked off stage...

The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God’s blessing on their future with or without the court’s approval.

Isn’t this a wonderful story? Pass it on to all your friends.........and

GOD BLESS YOU!!!!
This is a true story; it happened at the University of Maryland .
Oh, how I wish THIS one would take off and FILL the whole Country!!!

Good mornin’, Pippin! Are you always this peppy so early in the morning? I usually need two cups of java before I can even move. :P

“Be still and know that I am God.” is another scripture like that. When things get to be too much, this verse is comforting. Peace!

Beautiful Opening today, Billie. Thank you.
That rose is lovely and the poem fits perfectly.

Thank you for your many contributions.

I was relieved enough yesterday afternoon to post some holidays.
And I wanted to use the pretty Holiday Heading and Divider. :)

Have a Terrific Tuesday.
