It's being held in Fresno at the SaveMart Center, but we are calling it the "Central Valley Tea Party". YES, the word is out that it could end up being the biggest Tea Party in the country on the 15th. I've heard that OUR Tea Party is being discussed in other areas across the country. I don't have any idea why, or how anyone would know that ours could be the biggest.
You know, this all started with one little 'average citizen' pregnant woman, Melissa, in Fresno, who got tired of waiting for "someone" to get the Tea Party going, so she stepped up and started making calls to the local talk radio station, KMJ-580, and bought a website and got a professional web designing firm to donate their time to design the site and manage it and, one thing has led to another and we have ONE HUGE event being planned.
They are projecting 15,000 to 18,000 people! Again, I don't know how they can make this projection, but I will sure be happy to see that many people showing up! We have two stages that will be set up, we have tons of security, many speakers lined up (no politician types, this is "grassroots" all the way - the general consensus is that no one wants to listen to politicians), and lots of entertainment scheduled. It is ALL volunteer. I am astounded at the response we are getting, but maybe I shouldn't be. The CA Central Valley is VERY conservative (the ONLY conservative area of CA), and "We the People" are angry and fed-up!
I haven't been able to do much to help, except keep the message board "lit up". JK will be donating his time in photographing the event, and we are really looking forward to this.
Here is a link the our website....
See you there, Jim, Amy, Marissa and Ann! We'll be arriving early because we are bring up the RV. So, after you arrive, we'll be connecting via cell phone in order to find each others location.BTW, we just found a .pdf map of the SaveMart Center here:
Click on "SaveMart Center Event Layout"
Might be a good idea to print it out.
I have from a good source that you didn't have your bike the other day because you loaned it your Peep friend!

Happy Easter to you, MEG! :-)
Ann and I will be there. I’m not taking Marissa out of school. She still needs lots of help with her reading and I don’t think she should miss school, even tho the school system is broken.
I’m really hoping for a large turnout. I think I have invited everyone that I know.
I kept that secret close to my heart....do not know how you found out unless you had the secret service on me! Don’t know where you find the things you do but they are neat-o!
Loved the rabbit blowing Easter egg bubbles...LOL!
I sure hope you all get some national coverage. I don’t think the media (other than Fox) wants to show these large gatherings on t.v. because it might hurt ‘their little O”! I can’t wait until the date gets here!
I think there are others. Seems Hannity may be at one, maybe this weekend (not positive if its this weekend but I think it might be.
Thanks for the links!
Darling, Meg! Happy Easter!
The cake is in the oven!!! I got a backache from stirring...but its okay now! I am going to just put a caramel glaze on mine. I am excited about it.
Hope it turns out well..It is only supposed to be mixed..not beaten. Caramel glaze will be wonderful!
Oops! Not having any youngun’s at home, I forgot it is going to be a school day.
It looks good and the smell is wonderful! Still has 35 minutes to go!

Meg, do you turn your cake out on a wire rack or a plate? It still has 5-10 minutes to bake.
Check this out...appropriate for Easter.
Happy Easter!
Love,
Weinie
What time should we be there?
About 5:00 tomorrow evening....can you make it then? I am taking it to an Easter dinner. I have to smell it until then...not fair! LOL!
Have a wonderful Easter, lonestar! Hi, Weinie at Rainbow Bridge. I have a lot of animals there now!
